I have two.

I had this on loop when I fought the final boss in Persona 3. Yes, the ENTIRE TIME.

That made it more epic then it really was...

Now for something from an actual game, I present the one from Beyond good and evil.

IMO nothing comes close to the soundtrack of Shadow of the Colossus. It's beautifully composed and is appropriately epic in all the right places, adding to the experience in every way possible, without detracting anything.

Let me help you visualize.

You start off, alone in a wide-stretching land, utterly devoid of life. An unearthly voice(s) beckons you to your objective, so you mount up your faithful horse and set out on your journey.

After a long trek, you discover the lair of the beast which you have hunted and instantly, without even dismounting your horse you are attacked, the first colossal attack heralding a battle twixt a mighty beast and desperate hero.

Dodging it's hefty assaults to the ground beneath you, you circle the monster, desperately searching for a point of attack whilst screaming for your mount to aid you. As you leap and sprint, you glimpse a feint glimmer of weakness under it's fur. From horseback, you attack with a well timed arrow, allowing a brief chance to jump and clamber upon the beastly foe. Grasping it's fur between your fingers and holding on for dear life, you slowly scale the beast to a powerful crescendo, wherein you can land your fatal blow.

Finally, your adversary on it's knees, you deliver the final blow, weakening it to the point where the life that filled it's eyes slips away into darkness. As you fall to the ground the monstrosity you battled to fiercely falls, limp and lifeless, completely helpless as it's weight pulls it crashing to the earth. It is finally over. The Colossus is dead.

The Force in You is definitely up there.

Also, this Shadow of the Colossus battle theme (the whole game is a boss gauntlet, so I'm sure you can imagine that most music from its soundtrack fits this thread).

The Dark Spire has possibly the best mid-boss music ever. It's so intense and it really gets you pumped for the battle.
The final boss music is pretty cool too (especially the part that starts at about 1:00).
Really, the whole soundtrack is awesome.

Tohuvabohu

Not entirely serious, maybe.

"Okay Hespith, I gotta get going now, thanks for freaking me the fuck out."

*walks ahead*

*turns corner*

"HOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOLY SHIT"

It's probably my most favorite recent boss theme.

Sure the game has a lot of complaints in the bullshit department, but this boss theme became an instant favorite the moment I heard it.

Clash on the Big Bridge

Best single piece of FF Battle music, EVER. Dancing Mad comes a close second.

Is this the one where you first meet Gilgamesh? I agree this is pretty awesome.

FYI original below...and I just answered my own question looking it up.

I can't post a link right now, my computer is having issues, but nodoubtedly it must be Betrayal from Silent Hill 2. It's just so epic and mind numbing, and it's got this Sort of "This is the end" feeling, which is only heightened by your opponents: the legendary Pyramid Head x2.

Final Fantasy X wasn't my favorite in the series (mostly didn't like the ending and the direction they went), but man the last boss fight music (I guess he was the fight before the last fight, but whatever) was unexpectedly amazing. I wasn't prepared for it, and it just came from the blue. But I still think it's the best when anyone asks this question:
