I once fell though the fabric of space and time in Mass Effect, the lift suddenly vanished and I fell into a strange blue other dimension. Wrex and Ash however did not even seem to notice so I had to go all the way back to the siege on the fortress (Virmire after saving Wrex)
This reminds me of a glitch I had for San Andreas, the mission where you dirt bike onto a plane then plant explosives on it and parachute out, I screwed up and switched weapons which got rid of my parachute but when I landed,(ten minutes later) I DIDN'T DIE, I had the flashing your almost dead health bar, but most conveniently I landed beside a burger shot!!!arc101 said:

It was a once in a lifetime glitch, but it happened to me. WHY?!
I died when i was about to throw a grenade. when I respawned, for some reason grenades started spawning from nowhere and dropping at my feet AND blowing me up. I had to restart the game to get things under control.

Halo: CE. Parked a warthog next to a Dropship. Tried to get on Dropship. Game glitched. Fell through ground somehow and died. Respawned about 5 seconds from where I was. Thanked the heavens that Halo puts checkpoints absolutely everywhere.
That wasn't the worst by any means, but I don't play glitchy games usually so that was my most recent example.

not entirely a glitch, but the fact that a SMG has the same range as a sniper rifle as soon as you got a scope for it. its fucking bullshit.

There's a graphics incompatibility between my PC and Halo. It's fixed now, but before it had strobing colored polygons flashing across the screen every damn time you went near a light source.
And there's a glitch in Mirror's edge where you can accidentally wedge yourself between two boxes and stay in a state of free-fall 2cm above the ground. when you move, you fall to the ground at 150km/h from 2cm up and die. With that wonderful squelching sound.

OT: Oblivion has possibly the most annoying glitch, ever; the random 'crash-to-desktop-with-no-message'. I guarantee you, Bethesda let that glitch be in there just to learn you to save often.

Fable 2, for some reason a priest is glitched in the door to the temple of light. and he's invincible. And I have to get past him. =.= I've just given up on the game basically.
Yeah but I played through it when it was first realesed so not many of the large glitches had been patched. If I played it through today then maybe I would like it more, but it really did anger me when I first played through it.Acaulis said:
I haven't encountered many glitches in my gaming thankfully, but I had just bought House of the Dead: Overkill. It was going all well and good along the first level, but I suffered a lock up which jammed my machine. I restarted, did the level again (nothing saved) and at the boss fight, it locked up again in the middle of a scream... not the best sound in the world to hear.
I tried it a third time, but the controllers and game again locked up. I sent the game back and am awaiting a replacement to come back... The game seems fun and the concept is brilliant, but sadly I haven't gotten past the first level due to glitches.

I was pointing out that for some people it seemed to take a massive amount of time for any items to be awarded, valve acknowledged it in their tf2 blog.
