Which video game weapons and attacks are just the least useful things ever imagined?

I'm gonna go with Vanille's weapon from Final Fantasy 13
The triple-pronged fishing reel/yo-yo of death!

Magikarp's splash, while not technically a weapon, is the most ridiculous I can currently think of

I love that game. The only game that's ever made a Blunderbuss an effective weapon.
idk...Fable 2 had pretty much one shot kills with 'em.

OT: Wakka. Final Fantasy 10. He throws balls.

Even though I love it I would have to say FF8's Squall's gunblade. I mean come on, you put bullets in just so when you fire the trigger it vibrates the blade for extra damage! It also looks massively unpractical and unwieldy too.

Some weapon from Bulletstorm, forgot what it's called.

Its basically a gun that fires a bola with grenades at the end instead of metal weights.

If Pokemon attacks count Self Destruct comes to mind, devastating sure but not very practical if you're blowing yourself up in the process.

false! in double battles you self destruct and have your other pokemon use protect, kill 2 opponents lose only 1 pokemon...

Also, the drill arm in Bioshock 2, a great weapon but that thing eats your fuel up in no time at all.

I think I'd have to go with most finishing moves in WWE Smackdown Vs Raw series.
I mean Hogan has a leg drop which is then classed as a regular move, ditto with clothesline, DDT, well pretty much any host of moves.

Yeah, too bad double battles don't really exist (not in my mind anyway). Those started after the 2nd generation of Pokemon games and everyone knows that the 3rd generation and after is pure ass. I try to forget that Ruby/Saphire and Diamond/Pearl ever existed LOL

the pistol in halo 3 is the most redundant weapon in existant, it is essentially the poor mans BR, and is just a waste of time, which is why I love it

My generic answer for this kind of question: Mega Man 3 - Top Spin. It only works if you jump at your enemies and hit them in midair, and even then it doesn't work half the time. If you mistime your jump into them BAM you take damage and they don't? Stupid concept...

the alt fire for it disables vehicles

Im gonna say most swords from rpg games, so many of them would be just horrible weapons, either too big to cut right or designed in such a way as to be too light for the type of sword they are or made in such a way as to break very easily

Ah, but you still give yourself need to visit the Pokemon centre after the battle, definately not practical if you're nowhere near one.

That black hole gun in ME2. it works well against regular enemies, yeah, but it has a long charge up and is entirely useless against mechs and bosses, the things big guns are for.
