#3 Last Mission (Saints row 2) The game built on this guy being a complete jack*** the whole game, but all the last mission turned out to be was killing a bunch of dudes and pushing the bad guy out the window, you don't even get to push him out the window it's in a cut scene.
1. SPOILER ALERTS PLEASE... You just ruined that for me :(

2. People claiming Alma was really hard in the Ninja Gaiden. I found that fight, as well as the rest of it rather simple.

Deathclaws and Yaoi Gui (I sense I spelled that wrong :p) in Fallout 3. Everyone treats them like scary shit but I was taking them down with assault rifles on the hardest difficulty at level five. Now, the enemies from the DLC like Trackers just WOULD NOT FUCKING DIE. They were made out of Kevlar or something because my bullets did nothing to those bastards.
I don´t think any FO3 enemy was genuinely hard, the point lookout enemies were just SLOW to kill

General Corossive from Metal Arms: Glitch in the System
They spend the entire game hyping him up as some sort of ultimate killing machine, military giant, but when you do actually have to fight him, all you have to do is shoot him with every gun and every bullet you have until his massive health bar breaks in half

I defeated selvaria by giving a all units defend order, putting a group of shocktroopers near her, making them attack her at the same time. (she usually dodges the attacks but i just turned her away with a lancer placed at her opposite side after every attack)

Maximilian from Valkyria Chronicles is so pathetically easy its a disappointing last boss for such a great game. All you need to do is blind him with your smoke round to stop him shooting everything that moves before taking out the towers powering his shield with your snipers and Lancers. Then send in Rosie who you should have armed with the most powerful flamethrower you have, have her get up close and use that on him, she will avoid most of the return fire that she may get and just repeat until Maximilian is defeated.

You should be able to beat him in 2 moves, Sylvaria and Jaeger were a much harder challenge.

Dagon from Oblivion was kinda lame. Just a horde of bad guys and his tall arse. You don't even fight him. You just escort Martin into the temple and watch a cutscene.
I honestly thought Mannimarco was the biggest letdown in this game, not Dagon, since Manni gets hyped more. Though, to be honest, I think most 'let down' boss fights are just a testament to how well the creators were able to characterize the power of a villain.

That said, I also thought both Sarren fights in ME1 were a bit of a letdown. And no, this isn't a spoiler, you clash the whole game, following the first mission, with him. It's no surprise you fight him.

Salazar in Resident evil 4 I really wanted to fight him in his tiny human form and see how far a shotgun blast would make him fly but alas he just turns into a giant plant monster.
underhyped would be Demyx in Kingdom Hearts 2. all throughout the game his is considered a joke but then when you fight him he rains attacks from above you flies around the arena and causes giant area attacks if you get him in a corner. it took me about 45 minutes to beat him since i kept dieing the first time I fought him.

Vegna Gun in FFX-2. By the time I faced that massive metal monstrosity I was so over powered from doing a load of side quests it was a walk in the park. Suprising after friends of mine had told me how hard it was!

Another over hyped 'ememy' in video game is the bullet power up in Mario Kart. Not when you get it, when someone else does. If you're good at Mario Kart, chances are it won't make a lick of difference to your final score. Well, not usually.
(Also it's a much name called 'ememy' when you're the one stuck at the back and those boxes won't give you a bullet so you can get up to 11th place).
I just thought I'd mix the discussion up a little by saying that.

Lucian from Fable 2. He is built up like he is the biggest threat facing albion. So you work your way though his minions. He even goes and kills your whole family and your dog the bastard. Then you finally get to face him and what happens he stands there talking until you shot him dead with one shot. Hell you might not even get that if you try to listen to what he is saying then one of the other characters will shot him for you instead. WORST FINAL BOSS EVER!!!!!

That alien Hive thing from Contra. Since its the last level and one of the hardest you would expect a fight that really grabs you by the balls and doesnt let go but all you do is jump up and shoot it a couple times then end of game

Tron: Evolution

Abraxas is touted as amazingly powerful, possibly the most powerful thing on the Grid and capable of turning any program into a virus. The end fight, though?

You go around and throw your light disc into these devices he's infecting and then activate a few light switches. Do this a few times and at the end you throw your light disc into the mainframe he's trying to corrupt. It explodes, he dies. Weak.

Admittedly, I loved the game, but once you can buy the Stasis Auxiliary ability, everything is kind of a joke, even on insane.

Edit: I have another.

Kessler in inFamous. End boss. He's touted as amazingly powerful

and is even Cole from the future

but even that doesn't stop it from being a rather easy boss fight.

Technically not a game one, but this is all I could think of.

Darth Vader (the movie one). They spent 3 full movies showing his back story and motivation, calling him 'The chosen one' etc, but in the original trilogy he wasn't that big of a player... That's as close as I can get to an overly-hyped enemy at the moment.
Not that big of a player? He's Luke's father! He and Luke have two epic lightsaber duels! He restores balance to the Force, defeats the Emperor, and saves Luke's life in one swift act of heroism! How is that over-hyped?
Not really... Darth and Luke have a couple of clumsy, poorly choreographed lightsaber scuffles where they show the same finesse and grace as a retarded child trying to pilot a jetski.

He's supposed to be one of Batman's deadliest foes (he even broke Batman's spine once in the comics!), yet you defeat him by making him run into walls.
Sorry to be a complete dweeb, but it was Bane that broke Batman's back.
But he was even more of a pussy than Killer Croc so your point is still valid.

Yeah i'd have to agree with yao guai, but the only reason i got through my accidental Death claw encounter's was cause i stole everyone's **** re sold it to them (IF YOUR THE ONLY GUY WITH A POOL SET IN TENPENNY TOWER, IT GOES MISSING AND SOMEBODY IS TRYING TO RESELL IT TO YOU, IM SURE HE STOLE IT!) and purchased some high end weapons from rivet (Missile Launcher, fat man, Mini gun ETC) and blasted that thing into oblivion before it could say what the **ck.

Anything in Red Faction 2 seemed to die horrendously easily. Something to do with starting the game with a grenade launcher.

I just beat Orphan in Final Fantasy XIII, and Jesus Christ he was easy. I died once against him because he did Progenitorial Wrath on Sazh, who just so happened to not have any Death Resistant equipment at the time. The second time he was a piece of cake. Merciless Judgement hurt, yes, but I recovered quite quickly from it. He was just pathetic after I did my de/buffing.

And to think everyone had so much trouble with him.
