Stupid Bulletwitch.

HELL Difficulty Mode Cleared

You have to beat the game on Chaos difficulty to unlock Hell mode. Then beat the game on Hell mode for 1 AP. It was freaking hard beating it on regular difficulty and this was just annoying and no fun in any way shape or form.

Also, I heard of one in mirror's edge where you go through the game not shooting anyone or something... Good luck on those crazy missions where they corner you in a small room and almost FORCE you to use guns.
I ALMOST pulled that off on hard mode. But the freakin boat level...Goons with assault rifles everywhere...>_< I broke after 2 hours of trying and proceeded to open fire.

And then I pulled off that achievement with no trouble on Normal. It was pretty fun.

HL2:ep2 taking the gnome to the motherfucking rocketship. So unnecessary in the car sections when being chased by a helicopter.

I'm going to go ahead and disagree with everyone in this thread that has named World of Warcraft's "Insane in the Membrane" achievement as the hardest one. As someone that is on the grind for it and has helped others grind for it, I can say that it is in fact an EASY ACHIEVEMENT. Yes you read that correctly: Insane in the Membrane is an easy achievement. 100% of the people that actually try to get it WILL get it. This achievement so often gets labeled as difficult for the wrong reasons particularly being:

-It takes a VERY long time to get (3 months if you are diligent, over a year if you are lazy). As long as you TRY you WILL get it.
-Very few people even TRY to do it. Most people will look at the requirements and immediately turn away.

To me a "difficult" achievement includes things such as The Immortal, Tribute to Immortality, Herald of the Titans, He Feeds on Your Tears, Tribute to Dedicated Insanity, and I Can't Hear You over the Sound of How Awesome I Am (<- this one has only been done 3 times so far).

To me, a time consuming achievement is not a difficult achievement. A difficult achievement is something that people will try for and fail repeatedly.

/rant

OT finally. As a matter of personal hardship, World of Warcraft's "The Immortal" caused me and many others several months of anguish.

I'm not that gar for the hard achievements. Hardest thing I've ever tried to do was finish Mass Effect 1 with Liara in my party for most of the game. I STILL don't have that achievement. ¬_¬

So, you're not likely to see me with any of the ones you've all listed here.
That's one's not too hard. You have to make sure to do no sidequests until you get Liara. Once you do that, do everything while having her present and you'll have a nice tasty new cheevo. Oh, collection quests (turian medallions, matriarch writings, etc) are inconsequential outside of some extra credits, so don't bother.

That's easier than pressing start to play the game. >.>

On Topic. Killzone 2's Valor Grand Cross. Some might call it a grind as it involves being in the top 1% of players in a given week, but I say it's more a matter of skill.
That thing just gets harder the less people play the game because there are these clans of spawn killers just playing non stop to get this achievement.
I had magazine that had the hardest achievements in it.Hold on...Ok it says here 2# Street fighter 4 Name:No challenge to hard.Clear hard trail in challenge mode. and 1# From ghost recon.Name:World Champion(multilayer).Climb to the top.Climb to the top of the universal leaderboard(i remember one like that in mirrors edge 2).And you only get 40g for being the best player in the world.Number 3# was a wipeout HD trophy.Easiest are NBA 2K6, Name:All five of them. You can go into the options and change to get higher scores per goal.2# is the simpsons game with Easiest achievement...ever.Press start to play>1# is Avatar :the burning earth. All five achievement it takes about 2 mins as long as it takes to boil an egg all you have to get is 1000 points.

My vote is for HL2: Episode 1's 'The One Free Bullet'. You only get to fire one bullet throughout the entire game, to knock off a padlock (Rockets, crossbow bolts, grenades, energy balls, physics objects, etc. are fine though). Runner up is 'Little Rocket Man', from HL2: Episode 2, where you must carry a garden gnome through the entire game and deposit it in the missile at the end.

So, what are your candidates? (Note: Grind achievements like dealing one million damage points and so on don't count, because they're not really hard, they just take an ungodly amount of time.)
I got The One Free Bullet. It actually wasn't as bad as it sounds, though I did play that game on Easy difficulty to make it less of a hassle. It turned out fine!
