Ooh! I thought of another one! Dunno if this really counts, but Bullseye Navior's pod in Star Wars EP1 Racer. Once you get it, and you can get it easily as soon as you've beaten the first round of the tournament, you'll probably never use any other except Neva Kee (who is also considerably better than everyone else, and turns up somewhere near the end of the 2nd tournament round, I think) and Sebulba (who you have to beat all 3 rounds the tourney to get hold of, so he's a moot point, as you'll only use him on a couple of the extra ones if you haven't already done those). Then again, I think SWEP1R suffers from having not-that-many good vehicles, a couple of awesome ones and a *lot* of really bad ones.

The musket from Jade Empire. It's a gun in a martial arts game making most of the fights afterward a recreation of that scene in Indiana Jones.
Not really, the pathetic rate of fire means you're screwed against anything more than one or two opponents. However, Jade Golem Form is a different story and it can steamroll any large group of enemies. Also, Paralyzing Palm against pretty much anything. You can take down the final boss without taking ANY damage just by spamming Paralyzing Palm and switching to a Martial Style between two PP combos for the extra damage.

Robe of Vecna + Improved Alacricity in Baldur's Gate 2. Zero cast time (or close to it) + no pause between casting spells. You could unload your entire arsenal in a matter of seconds. Add in a Time Stop for good measure. Also, do this with a Wild Mage spamming Reckless Dweomer 9th level spells and hillarity ensues...

Most over powered weapon? A millipede with spikes in chain mail.
I joke, I joke.

Obviously the BFG9000 simply because it is made of win and is better than anything Master Chief can pull out of his galactic space bottom.

Most overpowered gun award definately goes to the rocket launcher in any game, but I'm gonna give it to the Annihilator RPG from Saints Row 2. Basicalaly, it's an RPG launcher with a following mode and a lock-on function.

It's overpowered in a good way against helicopters. But getting it is several bitches. You have to beat level 6 of the Stilwater Power Plant's Mayhem minigame. Along the way you also get the flamethrower, but it's so pathetically piss-weak you might as well just wait for Friendly Fire to get it.

Fallout 3.
There was a gun that fired 8 Fatmans
While it's true it has insane damage potential, it also has the habit of annihilating the player at the distances where it can be used accurately against tough targets, and wasting a whole lot of ammo on coating the surrounding area (unless you're trying to annihilate entire legions with it) at distances where it's not.

A lot of games have "that weapon." You know. The one that makes the game practically impossible to lose once you find it?

The Alucard Shield of Castlevania: Symphony of the Night. By itself, ordinary shield. Better defense than the other ones, nothing special.

But power it up with the Shield rod and this normally defensive item turns you into an unstoppable death machine. Enemy projectiles that hit it turn into hearts AND health. Any enemy you touch is dealt a ludicrous amount of damage AND it heals you. All you need to do is literally stand on a boss monster's foot and it will die in seconds.

Galamoth, supposedly hardest boss in the game, down in less than a minute with this thing.

Oh, but it drains your magic. Might be a problem if it didn't regenerate by itself over time.
Don't forget the Crissaegrim.
