Square Enix, Bungie, Bioware and Valve. All of those are pretty obvious why, they make great games and listen to what their fans want. I would say Blizzard but it seems like it's taking them forever to release a game. Sure, you want perfection but it shouldn't take 5+ years to do so.
I'm going with Treasure.
They even make kick-ass licensed games.
They made one of the best games ever (not just of licensed games, but in all of Gaming) out of Astro Boy...

Bioware. It used to be valve but lately I can't say i have been too impressed with what they have been putting out. I had high hopes for L4D2 but it really kinda disappointed me.

Depends on what you mean by trustworthy... as in, "we'll actually ship games on the deadline" or "we'll always make great games", or "we'll never do anything that'll upset the fans"? Cause 'trustworthy' can come in all sorts of different forms, and no developer I know of can to all 3 mentioned.

Now that's a company that pays attention to it's fans. And that is why I'll always buy their games.

Blizzard. They may be focussing on WoW, mostly, but they make good games. Heck, the only reason I don't play WoW myself is that I don't think it's worth the monthly subscription. If it was a one-time-only cost like most videogames, I'd definately play it.
Their only downside is how very LONG it takes for them to finish a game. That said, it's usually so they can cram more stuff into them... Still eagerly anticipating Starcraft 2!
