BioWare. Enjoyed every game I've bought that they made.

I'd say Bethesda, but then there's Oblivion, which is an orgy of tragedy and failure. Oblivion aside, they're fairly reliable when it comes to making good games.

Rare made a fair number of great games, but has stumbled enough to not make it onto my list. I still love 'em though, if only for Conker's Bad Fur Day.

I'm rather surprised you pointed out Ikaruga with your disliking of Shmups/bullet hell.

Plus, you forgot Dynamite Heady, one of the greatest, if not, the greatest Genesis game ever made. I also played Mischief Makers, which would have been more fun if they didn't make it balls to the wall hard to get the full ending and is at times confusing as hell.
I don't hate the genre. I just suck at it. And sucking leads to frustration, which leads to anger.
Even on an emulator with save states, the genre is still rage worthy, and when you save over a while when you meant to defrost like I did last night in Parodius...

Valve hands down. I mean all the things that they do to try and satisfy their fans. I mean christ they even let two idiots from and already idiotic boycot group get exclusive preview when LFD2 came out. That my friends is what you call dedication to your fans.

Bioware, Valve, Team Ico, Naughty Dog and Free Radical[footnote]Let's just forget about Haze like it never happened, alright?[/footnote] before they became a part of Crytek.

Hah. Look at some of the achievements for the one released on XBLA. Completionists for achievements have their work cut out for them....

The trick to pacifist runs: ANCIENT GENSOKYEAN SECRET

Also speaking of Parodius, Konami makes kick-ass games. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, the Bemani series, 64-era Goemon, Gradius, Twinbee (I KEED I KEED), Castlevania, Tokimeki, etc. Elebits was okay. I just wished that it didn't experience slowdown in half of the levels. Throwing around trucks and arcade cabinets was hella fun. I didn't list Silent Hill or MGS because I haven't played those games, which borders on heresy according to Konami fanboys.

Valve.

Bioware.

Neither has managed to make a bad game in their existence and it looks like the good games are going to keep coming as well.
Sonic Chronicles is hard pressed to be called "good".
It's hard pressed to be called "Bad" either.

I used to have great respect for Rare.

Until they ruined my childhood and made Banjo Kazooie: Nuts and Bolts.

Now I turn to ValvE for my gaming needs.

Although Blizzard is a very trustworthy company as well.

Don't remember the name, but the place that made Nation Red. On Steam forums, people have given suggestions for stuff and they've updated the game more time then I can count with peoples' suggestions.

It has to be Blizzard. They simply don't release crap and their QA is by far the best.

Bioware is the only one I think not only cares about their customers but also listens to feedback.

Not sure. Left 4 Dead 2 could have been DLC, and TF2 for the Xbox is a joke, so Valve lost some brownie points there.
Starcraft 2 is brought out over 10 years after the first, and is continuously pushed back to the point that I'm completely jaded to all these "where's episode 3" complaits. I used to be mad at WoW, but considering their constant release of addons (plus the fact that I've recently discovered how much servers cost to run) I realize that the subscription fee is probably required.
Both of these companies have yet to release a bad game (as far as I know), so it's kind of even in my opinion.

UbiSoft probably (for the Prince of Persia series and Assassin's Creed series).

Edit: Forgot 'bout Valve xD

Valve. Every game they made is great, and is also a FPS.
That's my damn problem with them.

That, and Left 4 Dead.

I. HATE. THAT. GAME.

It does nothing wrong, but its boring as hell. It's just killing zombies. Without any sort of GOOD context. At least Dead Rising had a leveling system.
