Can't stand the bastard; it's ugly, unwieldy, and the triggers. Good lord, those shockingly terrible triggers.

These might help, they clip on and have a nice concave surface for triggers.

I'd say the original "made for humans with hands the size of boxing gloves" Xbox controller. But I didn't have a N64 or any of the older consoles so that's probably not the worst one ever.

Nintendo 64 controller.

Anyone else remember those "spin the control stick REALLY fast" mini-games in the first Mario Party? Anyone else remember the control stick shaped bruises to the palm?

This controler I had for an old RC car. It was essentially an N shaped piece of plastic with random knobs and dials placed incoherently around it. It literally made no sense.

I loathe the PS controllers. The analog sticks aren't grippy enough and the thing's too damn small. Also, the left and right buttons are annoying as hell. /rant

Note that I haven't played any of the old-school consoles so my judgement only goes so far.

NES controller anyone? Other than that, i find keyboard and mouse to be almost as bad, in fact maybe even worse, it's been a while since i've played my NES.

I would say the Gamecube is the most conformable controller I have ever seen and not the gamecube controller, the gamecube itself.

The fuck? If anything, I found the Gamecube controller to be the best of Bentendo Nintendo. One of the most comfortable controllers for me to use.

I count the Wii Wheel as an uncomfortable to use and a horrible choice. I tried it for MKWii once, I dropped it immediately, it was too hard to use. I'm pretty good at MKWii too, I believe I had something like a 5.00 W/L Ratio with about 23,000ish Wins. Also had 9,999 VR and kept it up there for a long time. I could use the Nunchuck and GC controller proficiently after a few hours of getting used to the controls. The Wii Wheel? I found staying on the track to be a strenuous task, the controls were awkward, hard to control/steer, etc.

I can't stand the "Wiimote" and the Nunchuk, it just doesn't feel, right.
I want to agree with you, but I haven't given it much of a chance beyond demos at Best Buy/Target/Wal-Mart.

Failing that, almost anything made by Mad Catz has made me want to eat the damn thing This I have actually tried, and I have a PS2 Mad Catz controller with the teeth marks to prove it.

The N64 controller, for all the praise it got for its "innovative", ergonomy actually is a piece of crap if you look back to it now.
The stick wears off pretty much the second you touch it too. I burnt through 2 N64 controllers in its lifetime but my original ps2 controller still works perfectly with no sign of wearing and you have more functionality available without the need to switch positions.

Also almost no game used the d-pad which is actually good because the N64 d-pad is the worst piece of shit I have ever laid my thumb on.
I guess you havent touched the Xbox d-pad then :p

OT: The first Sega controller was just...awful. Rectangle shaped and with a HORRIBLE d-pad that was both uncomfortable and broke easily.

How about the game Steel Battalion's controller?

That would be the most uncomfortable controller ever, especially if you don't have a table to set it on and have to have it on your lap!

Obliteration of the law of identity. Sorry, cannot ansr now Must call freinds &Family and tel thm that I love them bFour the universe collapses.

On a serious note: just what are you saying here? Your preferred method of controlling Gamecube games involves holding onto the console handle? Are you the guy who discovered motion control?

Personally? The N64 controller. Still don't know what Nintendo was smoking.

Actually, it's one of the best I've ever used. I hate using two joy pads.

Oh dear. PS1 Dualshock will do me, thanks.
Or PS2 Dualshock, it's basically the same.
Agreed.....I just can't get used to it.....It feels like I'm holding a brick, since it's just so bulky. :S

Add another vote for the N64 controller. I hated those things. I have two hands. A controller with three grip points does not compute.
