People say it sucks but i fuckin' love Assassins creed.
So so I, I never got why it was so poorly-received (in general).

Oh my god, I have too many to count. The force unleashed, viking battle for asgard, assassins creed, the new pop, pop 3: tth, spider man web of shadows, kingdom hearts, mirrors edge, and many, many more. For the record, I count underrated as my friends and forumers who have played it saying its bad.
bold means I agree.

One word: Psychonauts.

It was one of the most underrated games on the Xbox. I loved every second of that game, even though I was basically collecting a lot of stuff. The game was so unique in its look and solid in its gameplay.

It had some of the best levels in any platform game. The Milk Man Conspiracy is still one of the best things to ever be put into a game to date.

"I work on the roads, see my stop sign?"
Brightside i totally agree best game ever if anybody says otherwise without actually playing this game themselvs they should be striked across the face.

I rented 24: The Game for the PS2 and thought it was tons of fun. I finished it in only a couple of days, and got about halfway through a second time when it got kind of boring. Great rental though.

I liked Assassin's Creed and Spore, although got bored of them after a while. They are really good games though.

Red Steel. Sure, it could have used improvements, but it was not as bad as people said.

I don't really know about the history of this game and whether or not it is a popular game but Harvest Moon really does it for me. I have no idea why. just today I went on a exploration to dig out the N64 and Harvest Moon 64. i was at it for about 7 hours before I realised I had to eat at some point today. That, and Star Fox....nothing really beats Star Fox for a "space flying, shooting stuff to bits" kinda game.
Ah, Harvest Moon, you've been so good to me... That game was great, as was Starfox. Unfortunately, I'm forced to use the past-tense, because my brother gave away our N64.

The one that sticks into my mind is fur fighter, because it is one of my favorite games ever. But you are all to old to remember that multiplatform game of course, it was released for the dreamcast, ps2 and the pc.

While were into bond games from EA, I really liked nightfire and everything or nothing. But I guess since it was from ea, most people thought it sucked.

Also saw red steel mentioned, and I remembered that I kinda liked that game too. For all the really bad things about it, is was really immerse and had a killer soundtrack.

Psychonauts isnt underrated (imo, at least), it just didnt sell well. Neither is halo 3, its just bashed by the webz.

definately dude, Def Jam Fight for New York is one of the greatest fighters ever made, it had a large character selection, good environments, alot of variation to each fight, FFNY is just fighting gold

Star Trek Voyager Elite Force. It probably got what it deserved but in my mind it's one of the best games ever. I grew up with it.

Too Human. It's not that bad!

Halo 3. I don't need to say much here... I call it underrated because the community loves bashing it.

Except games about movies. They actually suck.
And yet... if you ask people about the best games ever made, a lot of people are going to have Goldeneye for N64 on that list (not saying it would be on my list, but you can't generalize that all movie video games are awful).

I loved Chrono Cross; I guess it wasn't underrated in terms of reviews considering sites like Gamespot gave it a perfect score but it doesn't seem to have a huge following.
I also love Heroes of Might and Magic III.

Holy shit!

You made my post FOR ME!

Though I'd add Homeworld and Homeworld Cataclysm. When the ONLY criticism I could think of a game was that some of the voice actors could have shown more emotion, well...that's quite an achievement.

Chrono Trigger for Nintendo.
Sure, it was a few years ago, but I've never really heard of anyone knowing about it, and most people I showed it to said "What?"
I really liked the storyline, finished it at least ten times back then.

And Assassin's Creed is for the win, but who said it was bad?
Yeah that Chrono Trigger is a great game. Just got the DS version and am enjoying it so far too.

Assassin's Creed is bad once you get through the first little part and find out (Spoiler Alert!!!! for those who haven't played it yet this year) you are not in the medieval past, really but instead your laying on some lab bed in some rather sinister place being forced to do whatever it is you are supposed to be doing. I like Sci Fi as much as the next guy but when the mad scientist started going off about what you were doing the techno babble was so bad, it caused my brain to seize up and I didn't follow any of it. I ejected the disk and traded it in. Not a big fan of games where you fail if you aren't sneaky enough anyway, but to throw that little "high tech experiment" curve ball in there did me in.

Psi-Ops was a pretty good game as was EOE: Eve of Extinction. I liked Psi-Ops due to the multiple Psi powers you could use and Eve of Extinction was fun because you had a weapon that had a "soul" in it that would leave the weapon and talk to your character. The best part was that the "soul" was a pretty hot girl. Also, the weapon had the ability transform into around 10 different weapons. It also saved the level that the weapon was at and when you collect the weapon on another playthrough, the weapon started on that level. There are also some QTE's scattered throughout the game. They don't really kill you but they do take some of your health when you mess up.

Battlezone 2, its so underrated I think I am the only one on the forums here who actually plays it, but I love it just the same. ^_^
