The world is full of to many PewDiePies and not enough...well, these people. Bare in mind that to be underrated you probably should NOT have say, close to 100,000 subs.

Honestly think they're funnier than the Game Grumps. Some of you probably know Emcee, he's Overusedname around here. I've been a fan of his stuff for a few months. And him and MN are just...the first thing that come to mind when I think 'underrated'. Look at the edits, the little animations. And the commentary is hilarious. I feel weird to even call some of this stuff 'let's plays'. I'd post their very serious and very thoughtful series on Bioshock Infinite, but it's already in the User Review section.

This guy is veeerrry similar to Jontron, but then again, Jontron isn't making a lot of stuff lately, is he? And unlike Jontron, he expresses some actually thoughts on game design, and does so in an interesting and funny way. He sorta finally getting popular. But he deserves more attention, as does HiddenBlock in general. Good stuff. He's a VERY good editor to. One of the best. He reviews mostly PC games, but diversifies.

I can name a few. Veriax is one. A yorkshire englishman who does pretty funny commentary during lps. Criana is another one. she is really random and hilarious. also possibly my favorite lper is finally making a return to the youtubes. And that is resobaso. does a ton of different games.

For both I'd say Yahtzee Croshaw. He's got some good LP's,and if you don't know who he is, then punch yourself in the face and figure out what Zero Punctuation is.

Yahtzee19 got me at Fantasy World Dizzy, and despite being Yahtzee, thus immediately popular and subscribed for no reason I still say he's under rated.

I say his reviews are under rated to because most reviewers I've seen are just either boring pricks, or rating colonial marines at 6/10 or something. So I can't think of one I'd want to recommend.

I can't say for reviewer beyond Yahtzee Crowshaw, but as for LPers I'd say Niggurath (A.K.A. iconoclast187 on Youtube) is really good and someone I enjoy. Underrated LPer? JefMajor. This guy is one of those silly billies, but underneath all that silliness is a person that can really surprise you when he feels like it. In my honest opinion, he has the best lets plays of Assassin Creed 1 and 2, not because of how silly they are(they are still funny and silly in certain bits) but because of the remarkable things that he talked about that were in the games.
It was just amazing how he managed to turn these two games from something I didn't care about into something which I found very interesting and clever.

Though for some of you that actually check it out, you might think that I am fucking crazy! And you might be right!

Not sure if Yahtzee is underrated, but maybe I'm just biased from being on this site for so long. Niggurath is pretty good. Yahtzee also does LP-ish videos, which I only recently heard about. I think it's only on his channel, and he's never mentioned it on the Escapist...which is weird.

Obviously Roxas1359, no way am I self advertising myself or the fact I do LPs and have been for over a year now. XD

OT: In all seriousness really there are too many to name off the top of my head. When trying to get into LPing these days it is very very difficult to get noticed and get a fanbase since most games have been done or people will generally go to the ones that already have a giant fanbase when wanting to watch someone play a new game. It's really difficult and discouraging when you see how difficult it can be. Of course there are still some LPers I watch that really deserve more are AfroBattler, LynxParadox, SashaSilvermoon, and a few others that escape me at the time.

Not to mention that there are a bunch more on Game Anyone who are underrated since they don't want to be part of YT. Like I said, it's hard to really get noticed nowadays when it comes to LPing and the struggles to get noticed will put some people off. Of course then there are those who just get lucky and suddenly get a huge fanbase but that's dependent on luck really.

Taking the word underrated quite literally, Sanguine Vixen. Painfully under-viewed. For unknown reasons she's spent the last half year or so taking everything down but before then she had a pretty good collection of Bioware LPs. Her Jade Empire LP was great.
