Fallout: New VEgas. Specifically, here's what you do.

1: Start the game
2: Go straight east.
3: When you hit I-15, turn left and go north.
4: ???
5: Deathclaw food!

Srs, Obsidian, wtf?!
Maybe you shouldn't be going to the deathclaws like that...

:D You can go around...they want you too!

Blah blah Maero blah blah pistol blah minigun blah exclimation point etcetera.
What?! You can't believe that after dozens of missions challenging an entire #%@&ing gang of hardcore, bodybuilding, heavy-metal worshiping arsonists, you would finally face someone who had brains enough to prepare before hand for the pistol-toting superman who's gunning for him!?

Maero is a huge $!@&ing guy!! He's supposed to be hard, you pussy!

Which links me neatly to my "Most Unfair Fight in a Game": ANY GAME WHERE YOU PLAY A HARDCORE, BODYBUILDING, HEAVY-METAL WORSHIPING, MINIGUN TOTING BEAST, AND ARE DEFEATED BY A FUCKING SCRAWNY LITTLE ASIAN TWO YEAR OLD KARATE-KICKING GIRL WEARING A SCHOOL GIRL OUTFIT OR SOME SHIT. GARGH!!!!

Games seem designed to appeal to people, whether people are of certain religions, or have certain backgrounds--whether they like racing, shooting, or anime...WHEN, DAMN IT, WHEN AM I AND THE OTHER RARE FEW GOING TO GET A DECENT FIGHTING GAME WHERE THE BODYBUILDING BEAR-WRESTLING HULK ACTUALLY GETS TO $(#@%ING WIN WITH THE EASE AND SUPERIORITY WE $*@#ING DESERVE!!!
Cap-lock RAGE!

don't get so angry man

So unfair.
Unfair as hell, but not un-defeatable. But he sure does drive you mad.
Oh, it's totally not un-defeatable. Especially once you figure out where to get a passable weapon and some OJ, it's mostly just a matter of not screwing up and paying attention to...the other part of that scene that you'd better not neglect. Still unfair, though, and pretty much unbeatable until you figure out what you're supposed to do.

I guess the second Titan fight in Castlevania Lords of Shadow, not because it's difficult, but because that one orphan that can talk to you using her mind will not shut up! Every level with her involved where she talks was a nightmare for me! How am I supposed to concentrate with her shrieking at me that I'm too close to the titan?
Also the final boss of DOA 4...

I found the power drill to be a really good weapon, but getting to it sucks. He just keeps shooting.

and if he had a gun why didn't he just use it the entire fight (not saying he should have, but he could have)

and then sometimes you keep missing your times to attack, the time limit is going down, and he won't just leave!

Most of the optional bosses in Kingdom Hearts II: Final Mix.

I'll say this... Leopaldon from Guilty Gear Isuka... Freakish boss baddie who can only be hit with aerial attacks. Not to mention, he hits hard and often. DX I gave up in frustration and cried. Not to mention, I think that you had to fight for so far in order to even encounter him. XP It's been a while, but the memory of having my ass handed to me is still vivid.

Funny thing, I was just thinking about this. Rewinding all the way back to the PS1; more specifically: Crash Bash. That fucking tank boss: Big Bad Fox. First off, it spams 3 spike balls at a time at you. Your tank is so slow there's no way to dodge, and the enemy shots bounce off everything. After that, it spams 4 energy balls at a time at you. Next, it shoots lasers that drop you by 75% of your health. What's more, it can destroy healing items, and you have an obscenely slow rate of fire. Finally, after all that, you reach a checkpoint. Then you have to kill a pair of enemies in tanks. Fortunately, you get a better gun than them. Most of the tank battles in that game were a huge clusterfuck, but I'm still glad I found it at the pawn shop.

Another notorious boss from the PS1 was Anubis Rex, from Pac-man World. He bombarded you with meteors, tornadoes and ancient egyptian laser beams. And more surface area led to an instant death than didn't.

Another enemy that was just pure evil, was this one super Yux in the X-Naut fortress in Paper Mario 2. If you didn't kill it in 3 turns, it could not only become invincible, but continually stun you with no way to escape.

Guilty Gear #2 Reload, the Unlimited/Golden/Black I-No with regenerating health and no retries that pops up in Dizzy's storyline if you want the hidden ending. That no retries bit is a pain in the neck. One round and if you lose you branch into another part of the story and have to redo the six fights before that (which you have to win with specific conditions to fight this version of I-No in the first place).

This is literally the only point in gaming I gave up because I simply could not do it.

I've gone toe to toe with SNK bosses and managed. KoF 00, 01, 02, 03, NGBC, FF1, 2, 3, special, SamSho 1, 2, 3, you name it. Ninja Gaiden 1 & 2. Sure, just memorize those patterns and go again, Izuna Drop the lot of them. But that I-No fight with no retries and you have to do with Dizzy (admittedly not my best character) broke me.

Also:
Seth is a cakewalk.

Yeah. Say it with me. Seth. Is. A. Cake. Walk.

First time I played SF4 I went into the arcade mode on normal difficulty and whacked him in one go with Bison. The rival fight before that was much harder. Fei Long's AI is a piece of work on the other hand. It's been joked about that they should just enter a top level difficulty Fei Long into tournaments and see how far he gets. Abel is also nasty as he can input read into his command throw, forcing you into certain tactics.

Pretty much the entire Armored Core series is one long unfair fight.

I mean it's not that hard to get owned by the damn training mech in practice mode.

The Key is the wrench, it takes the fight from a 9/10 difficulty to a 6/10.
its quick and painful. introduce a little bioshock to his face.

Collector Ship Praetorian.
The Praetorian wasn't too bad for me, it took about 3-4 attempts, the worst part in that entire game just before when you get ambushed.
I can't tell you how many attempts I put in to try and get past that bit, so many Collectors, so many Harbingers, my dam team running into the the nearest mortar from one of two Scions.... It was terrible.

Pretty much the entire second disc of Last Remnant.

I'm sure this is just a coincidence but that also happened to be where the game stopped being fun.
