SC2 has the biggest condescending group of elitests I have ever seen. If you arent in the "Platinum League" (top players in the world) You will be looked down upon for posting. These people would prefer that players who arent as good as them be completly banned from visiting the forums and posting.

I'm semi-surprised that this place hasn't already been mentioned, but I guess it's not going to be as well known as most other communities. The Darkfall forums before the game came out (not sure what they're like now), otherwise known as Forumfall had an atrocious community, literally every person was an arrogant prick who would start a fight over absolutely anything, that was just their culture.
For hobbyists it's got to be CMoN. Basically a place where no-life flamers wait in the shadows to leap out and tell you your life is useless based on how well you painted acrylics onto a cheap hunk of tin.
It's hard to imagine a lower breed making a bigger deal out of less and judging the worth of a human life because of it.

- The Jabba look-alike starting threads to realistically decribe yourself. Of course claiming complete honesty under internet anonimity, he always begins first by describing himself as a lean ~6' male with dark hair and blue eyes.
- The teenage angst-queen (always male) whining about being friendzoned despite being an bonafied Larry Sue with absolutely nothing wrong with him whatsoever.
- The two IRL fat retarded neckbeard-toting weeaboos threatening to kill each other, claiming to have elite sharpshooting training and black belts in several martial arts.
- The self-proclaimed verteran who has done everything, studies all there is to know, lived everywhere, and is willing to offer you his valuable life-experiance. Needless to say, 9/10 times this person is a creepy pervert living in a basement in Wisconsin and has never left the state. (The other 1/10 is Nebraska.)
- The "Girl" on the internet, hyping this up to be a big deal. (It should say A LOT about the online community that unfortunately they're right).

COD just makes jerks who you can mute or leave the game or block, not really too hard to handle, I don't think there is a popular multiplayer game without griefing. OH, but I just reminded myself that the Fifa online community is beyond horrendous, multiplayer be a pro was a great idea, but they didn't take a bunch of 13 year old brats into account (ALSO, NO KICK SYSTEM DURR).
