I thought it tasted a lot better. Normal Dew is way too acidic for me, but I could easily chug a bottle of Throwback. And I feel the same about that glucosy feeling you get, Throwback doesn't give me that.
I can easily enjoy both, I was just hoping that the throwback would taste more like the normal. But that being said, perhaps they can make a second alternative product if there is enough consumer interest? But sometimes Mt.Dew is a more refreshing drink, but others you just gotta have some cola.. or a good Root Beer from time to time :)

I love Mountain Dew. It's awesome. I don't care if it kills my sperm. That's how wonderfully delicious it is
Jebus I hope it doesn't kill your sperm, lol. Although I am starting to think that soda needs to be more closely regulated to a degree. It seems people are getting kidney stones alot more these days hehe. Not to mention some people claim it pulls minerals from your bones and basically causes osteoporosis over several years. But ehh the stuffs too good. I can drink a gallon of water and still be "thirst" until I get some soda sometimes.
I heard that it does kill your sperm from multiple people. But it ok, cause the average male has enough sperm to impregnate every single woman on the planet at least once. So I think I'm covered.
I remember hearing that about Mellow Yellow. Are you sure you're not thinking of that?

Also, dude...edit button...I know you want to reply to most people, but just having one post, and then adding to it by quote, copy, edit, paste, will make the place a little neater.
Sorry if that seems nitpicky.
Sorry about all that, I will try to clean it up a bit in the future. I was just on a tangent and have to head to bed soon ;/ But thanks for the tip, I will keep that in mind!

Honestly, I can taste the difference in Mountain Dew [not MTN DEW like some of the labels suggest], and its for the better in my opinion. too bad that its for a limited time, I would of loved to of seen Mountain Dew Voltage........... with sugar? [I cant think of what they would market it as, sorry]. But you should also try the Pepsi Throwback, only problem I have with that is over foaming when drinking it warm.
Yeah I hate when they make limited time products, as you get use to them, and bam they are gone. It is like, why even get hooked on the awesome product, as it is bound to disappear :( And drinking soda warm? Are you MAD ? lol .. there is no excuse for that in todays modern times, lol. Heck, throw the can in the freezer for like 20 mins at least.. or have some ice laying around? I just do not like most drinks warm, short of the ones meant to be warm.

I like the Dr.Pepper's made with real sugar they just taste a lot better.
Ohhh I got to try that too! I love Dr. P and if the sugar version is better, I'm sold haha. I love all the spin off stuff too like Coke Vanilla or Cherry and what not. Same with Dr.P but the original is just so good on its own.

Don't worry about it too much. That's probably the only "constructive forum advice" I've given in several weeks.
And I wonder just how many variants of Mountain Dew they're planning on making this summer. They're already at...what? Something around 4?

Never even tried Mountain Dew...Pepsi rules, though.

Actually, I haven't drank that much fizzy-stuff, so it does all weird sickening-painful in my tummy when I have some. Bleh.

In the UK most of our soft drinks, definitely all Coca-Cola brands, are made from real sugar, and I wasn't even aware that they were made with corn syrup until I read about it here.

Until about 9 months ago I didn't really appreciate the difference until I bout a can of Coca-Cola which had been imported from America (and made with corn syrup), it was disgusting and tasted like really cheap supermarket 'no frills' cola (usually about 20p for 2 litres).

I can't believe that they can get away with calling that corn-syrup shit Coca-Cola, and sell it as the same brand when it taste completely different. You would think it would be against the law since it's blatantly false advertising.

It would be like if Cadbury started making their chocolate with flour and brown colouring instead of cocoa, you can't expect to substitute the main ingredient of product and it to taste the same.

It's bad enough that Coca-Cola took cocaine out of the recipe, it's almost criminal now that they're taking the sugar out too.

Wow, that is interesting. I did not know that over there that they did use sugar. At some point they have been switching all sugar here to corn syrup. Look at anything you eat here in America, and I doubt you will find sugar, it will be corn syrup. It is in EVERYTHING unless you grow it yourself. But I suspect that Europe has laws against using corn syrup to substitute and is forced to abide by the sugar use laws over there.

And that is part of what has happened to the soda formulas over the decades. I guess that is what happened when Coke 2 and Coke Classic and that whole thing got the formula wars going. But again, if you are talking again Coca-Cola Classic, the ORIGINAL 1920's formula was probably best as you suggested at the end of your post there.

Haven't encountered Throwback. Sounds interesting, though, so I'll look for it.

Crystal was way back in the day. It was basically Pepsi.. but 100 percent clear. It looked like Sprite or 7-Up or what not. And it wasn't suppose to taste different, but it was like it tasted better, lol. I was just a kid when it was out, but luckily got to try a bit of it while it lasted. Another thing I miss is Jolt cola. Oh man that stuff is good. I think it still exists, even in gum form and such. Although it seems most local stores don't carry it here at least. 2X the sugar and 2X the caffeine is the motto... you knows its gotta be good, lol.

As long as it isn't clear (except Pepsi Crystal, which is made of liquid sex), I like every kind of soda out there.
However, everything pales in comparison to Ironbeer [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ironbeer]

Do you know that feeling that something in your life is just missing?
That's because you've never had Ironbeer.
