Still terrible though.
I disagree with misery, i think its one of king's where he actually tried to build the scary suspense, but the movie was fucking awesome, i remember the first time i watched, i was 11 and had crawled into my mom bed just before it started by the part where he wakes up in her house i had the blanket up to my eyes in suspense cause I knew that ***** was crazy lmaoWrathful said:I'm gonna say Lord of the Rings but I bet someone ninja'd it, oh and Misery.
It was also much stupider than I Am Legend. Anti-technology vampires... who use catapults and wear mass-produced sunglasses.Wadders said:You ever seen 'The Omega Man' with Charlton Heston? That's slightly more true to to book.
True, true, but at least they could speak an stuff, unlike the I am Legend ones. And it was made in the 70's. One has to allow for a certain level of cheesinessSlowShootinPete said:It was also much stupider than I Am Legend. [Edit] Whoa, this thread is a lot longer than I thought it was.
no, how dare you. just because 90% of the world cannot understand those books does not mean that the movie was better. ok mabye it does. but the books were still pretty gooddanielsharpe1634 said:LoTR series.... and thats about it.
I agree in principle on the Bourne series, but only because the movies were good on their own. If they had even tried to do the books justice, they probably would have failed miserably. The books were just too in depth to be made into a screen playsunburst313 said:A few I don't think have been mentioned are Psycho, The Wizard of Oz and The Bourne Identity. I found those films are much more enjoyable than the books.
alright, the books were okay. But come on, I've had rye bread that wasn't that dry. The amount of detail in them made them sound like someone was telling the IT guys what to add to the CGIbrodie21 said:no, how dare you. just because 90% of the world cannot understand those books does not mean that the movie was better. ok mabye it does. but the books were still pretty gooddanielsharpe1634 said:LoTR series.... and thats about it.
(trying not to nerd rage or troll)Are you freaking kidding me? all quiet was so painful to watch in the movie, you didn't get to picture anything or hear any of Paul's thoughts!!!JEBWrench said:All's Quiet on the Western Front.
Arguably Catch-22. (The book and movie are pretty much even.)
That's about all I can think of.
ok, it does take some time to adjust to his writing style. but it is an accomplishment that the books spawned three killer movies, am i right?danielsharpe1634 said:alright, the books were okay.
