Van Helsing.

The werewolves are just cool :|

More than that, I thought Dracula had a real sense of style and class- he gets a little hammy at the end with his big final fight, but it's DRACULA for Christ's sake, I'd be disappointed if he wasn't sucking the blood out of the scenery. His scene at the big Vampire Masquerade I can still remember with such clarity because I just liked it THAT much. That, and I kind of liked the backstory. I was 10 when it came out, and raised in a very Christian Household- so when they show Van Helsing working with the Church and make werewolves, or at least some of them, agents of God, it was just the coolest thing to my pre-teen mind, because I could be a werewolf AND a Christian. Made Halloween costume shopping a lot easier that year.

Now, mind, I haven't watched in ages for one reason or another, so I don't know how it'd come across to me now, but I have fond memories of it.

I overall enjoyed Spiderman 3, X-men 3, Wolverine Origins, and the later Pirates of the Caribbean movies. I'm not very good at finding movies bad.

To Wong Foo was the first movie to come to mind. Also Showgirls, Jennifer's Body, and any Miss Congeniality/Legally Blonde type movies.

Movies don't define anything. Too define oneself based on your chosen entertainment, especially if it makes oneself guilty, seems a waste of time.

I genuinely enjoyed the first Transformers movie. The sequels were bleh, but the first one was a lot of fun.
Same here. I also like these following movies that I can think of right now-
Dare Devil
Little Nicky
The Butterfly Effect
Kindergarten Cop
Jingle all the way

Yu-Gi-Oh The movie, I know the movie was a cash in on the Yu-Gi-Oh popularity and it adds nothing to the series but despite that it looked cleaner and the actual time spent on the card game was decent compared to episodes where they play about four turns and someone wins. I just love the show so much that anything Yu-Gi-Oh related is good. Except Zexal, they need to move onto the next series already.

Also I like Pirates of the Caribbean 3, I think it ties everything together, tells a pirate story with lots of betrayal and back stabbing and I to this day don't understand why people hate it so much.

Vampire's Kiss.

And no, not in a "so bad it's good" sort of way. It's a comedy, and as a comedy, it's one of the funniest things I've sat through.

Starship Troopers. I know people would think it's cheesy and dumb and full of gore, action and T&A, well... they are right and that's why I love it.
I'm gonna have to join you on this one. I mean, how awesome were those crazy propaganda commercials?!
Time to join the Mobile Infantry MoFos.

I really enjoyed James Cameron's Avatar. I've confessed to that on other threads before. I think it's great.

I even saw it twice at the cinema (though that was primarily just to test 3-D, to see whether it was worth it).

I just want to echo these sentiments. I legitimately love this film and it's one of my favourite movies ever.

Four Rooms. It would easily fit into my top 5 movies of all time - funny, outrageous, clever, strange...

It was shocked to find out that it was considered a massive disaster of a film, winning awards for worst performances, etc.
Regardless, I consider it to be a great collaborative work, my favorite performance by Tim Roth, and I will defend its merits to the death.

I love lots of movies that most people dislike. Two relatively obscure ones that come mind are Zardoz and Spacehunter: Adventures in the Forbidden Zone. Michael Ironside as the Overdog was awesome.

Disney's Chicken Little is considered to be atrocious but I just love that move to bits. I related to awkwardness as a middle schooler.
Same is said of Meet The Robinsons, but I think it's brilliant!

Jim Carrey in Batman & Robin was pretty good.

Here's a bunch that my friends hate but I love
Frailty - A twist to comparable to The Usual Suspect
Sin Eater - The mythology of this world is great
Donnie Darko - Time travel is not for everyone
Series 7 - That movie still creeps me out
Momento - I have no comprehension how anyone could not love this movie. It warps your brain. In a good way

Iron Man 3: I legitimately thought that it was a good film, it wasn't exactly lacking in action scenes, and when Tony was out of the suit it used the time to expand on his character arc from Avengers and the previous Iron Man films. Also I thought the twist with The Mandarin was both clever and funny, because I never cared about the Mandarin as a villain in the comics, and we got to see an army of Iron Man suits vs an army of Lava People, which is still cool and comic book-y.

Amazing Spider-Man: Not as good as the original trilogy, but in a lot of cases I actually prefer Andrew Garfield to Tobey Maguire, not to mention the fights with The Lizard were genuinely cool.

Star Trek Into Darkness: I couldn't care less about whether it not it defiles the originals, I was hooked from start to finish, and even found Kirk's sacrifice genuinely moving (Though the massive orchestral playing in the background of that scene was wholly unnecessary)

Also, not exactly a film but I do love Doctor Who too, I don't really care that it has terrible internal consistency and wildly fluctuating writing quality, the good episodes are genuinely excellent stories, and the bad episodes still have the actors trying to salvage it and make it enjoyable in its own right.

Mean Girls and The Devil Wears Prada.

Both of those movies are awesome, I don't care what anyone says or how many times I get called a homo.
