Please oh please don't let it be actual multiplayer, thats one of the things that ruined bioshock 2, Arkham city doesn't need actual multiplayer, Its a single player game.
And I don't like it.Ironic Pirate said:Between this, Splinter Cell, and Assassins Creed, multiplayer in stealth games is becoming more common.
I always thought Of Tim as being the best robin but the worst robin in his social life.Samwise137 said:Indeed, there were a total of 5 robins but in this plot I can only see AC having either Dick Grayson or Tim Drake-Wayne (both of whom do have WC syndrome).Dr. wonderful said:That depends on WHAT robin you're talking about.tehroc said:Robin unfortunately falls under Wesley Crusher Syndrome. He's the perfect "son", bright and talented with not many flaws.Zeromaeus said:Seriously, is it too much to ask to have Robin, Nightwing, or Red Robin in these things? I think its a relatively good decision to have any one of those characters playable. Especially the most recent Robin, being the psychopath that he is. Do people really hate the Boy Wonder that much?
There were like five.
Jason Todd is, for all intents and purposes, dead, Damien Wayne is not well known enough (although his angst would fit well in this world) and no way in hell they're gonna put Stephanie Brown in.
As long as they don't put any less effort in the single player, I don't see why it should matter.IamQ said:And I don't like it.Ironic Pirate said:Between this, Splinter Cell, and Assassins Creed, multiplayer in stealth games is becoming more common.
Apparently Warden Sharpe ran for Mayor and was elected. He bought up a huge section of Gotham's slums, walled it off, brought in all the inmates from Arkham and apparently prisoners from Blackgate and dumped them inside. No guards inside the walls and the only rule is: If you try to escape, we'll kill you.MasterSplinter said:Why is it Arkham City and not Gotham City?
I mean, is the insane asylum THAT big?
Or could it be a strange crossover with H. P. Lovecraft's Arkaham [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Arkham]?
I needed a third example, and there are stealth kills. And besides, it's the third item in a list, thats where you put the joke answer.AjimboB said:Since when is Assassin's Creed a stealth game?Ironic Pirate said:Between this, Splinter Cell, and Assassins Creed, multiplayer in stealth games is becoming more common.

Yeah, that's probably true =/Strife2k7 said:Sounds like a good way to have some nice free-roaming play while not making it so huge that it dillutes the game's story.
Yay. Someone else with a similar mindset.VanityGirl said:Co-op would in theory, work perfectly. But a theory is always different from actuality.
If the game were co-op, it SHOULD be Batman and Robin. Honestly, Catwoman wouldn't make a lot of sense. Catwoman has ALWAYS switched from jewel theif to friend(ish) of the Dark knight. Having her as a constant companion (while sexy) wouldn't make a terrible amount of sense.
However, if Batman were to call on the Boy Wonder, then the game would make a lot of sense. Batman and Robin have a lot of the same gadgets, which means you would have to learn new weapons if you played as Robin. Catwoman, on the other hand, would have whips and claws, which would force the other player to have a different style of play. I'm not saying that this is a bad thing, but if people don't like playing as Catwoman with whips, then it could become problematic.
Multiplayer could work in theory as well.
If it were set up as a cops and robbers type deal, it could be very interesting. Mulitplayer is very worrrying though, it could just be thown in as a gimmick.
That's what I was thinking.PedroSteckecilo said:All I hope is that the single player mode doesn't take a hit through some pointless need to cram in multiplayer.
I don't think it's hate, I think it's to make the characters unique. For the most part, Robin is Mini-Batman. (Look, I read the comics, I know this isn't true of the character, but when it comes to the fighting styles, gadgets, etc.) Catwoman, on the other hand, is very different. No grappling hook, but a whip, so she can't just zip up somewhere, but can swing better. No batarangs. Also, smaller, more nimble.Zeromaeus said:Seriously, is it too much to ask to have Robin, Nightwing, or Red Robin in these things? You're right, Batmnan does sound weird. Kinda sounds like Batmans .. nan?Woodsey said:I'm betting on a co-op mode with Batmnan and Catwoman (those names sound beyond ridiculous when you think about them), maybe in the style of the challenge maps of the first game.
I can't really see them attempting any sort of vs. mode.
Normally I'd say "OH GOD NO!", but Rocksteady have proven with the first game that they won't bite off more than they can chew.
More worryingly, it sounds like "Bat 'em, Nan!".ItsAChiaotzu said:You're right, Batmnan does sound weird. Anyway, hated the first, I don't think multiplayer will sway me to play the second.
