So I just logged off from PSN because while in a game of KillZone 2 multiplayer during the Assassination gametype the guy on my team that was the target was in open air so I thought I'd nudge him by melee'ing him ... after all in KZ a melee isn't an insta kill like in other games.

Dude keeled over and dieded, it was like death but more deathly
No medics around ...
He was on my team
He was part of my squad
and most importantly he was French, the French have such a way with insulting you and your actions.

I was like oops

Please share your ineptitude to make me feel slightly better.

Bonus round children
KillZone Nazi Jetpacks!

Its a JetPack, but its evil looking!

When I accidentally shoot team mates in the face in Battlefield Bad Company 2 because I can get so jumpy, mainly when scouting out a building. They don't get damaged, I just feel bad and throw ammo boxes at them to make up for it.

I have a horrible tendency to do that when with a Sniper Rifle, I can no scope my team mates all day long but my enemies? hell no!

I never play Hardcore anything. I'm far too trigger happy. That, or I'll take out half my team with a grenade.

It's happened a lot, so I don't really have a particular example.

I was playing Left 4 Dead at my friends place the other day and managed to get a witch to kill the entire team. There were some nasty words being used to describe me so I let my friend take over.

I was beta testing Mortal Online. I was playing a thief and snooping this guy in the field near a city to see what he had. I was about to snag something but had a few more seconds left on the timer. At this point in the game, there was no animations to show you were snooping or stealing so you just had to sort of know. Like I said I was about steal the item when this guy comes out of NOWHERE and blindside pushes me off of my mark. I turn to face them and am like WTF!

They are like THIEF! I am like, I haven't stolen anything. If I was a thief I would have been flagged GREY and attackable just now (which was a lie.. it had to be an actual attack, but I though he did attack me, so who knows).

At any rate we are facing each other now. And he says something like "Stupid thief" or something like that. At this point I notice someone creeping up behind him.

I said, "well, I am not a thief! But that person standing behind you looks like one!"

He is like "Noob! You think I will fall for that one! HAAR HAAAR HAAR!"

Just then the random person behind him steals and item and runs off...

The guy curses and slowly tries to trail the already far off thief.

I loled so hard when it happened.. it was like a cartoon type situation or like your shoes are untied, and they are like what ever and then trip.

I (as with about 900 million people) have lost a game of MW2 because of 1 wrong placed care package. (The amount of times I've got 3 resupply crates and then the 4th one is chopper gunner and the enemy rush me and pinch it is enough to make me scream).

Anyone played Insurgency? It's a Source multiplayer mod, much like Counter-Strike except it's more realistic.

In that game you have to use iron sights, as there are no crosshairs - you can still shoot from the hip, but it's really unpredictable and undependable.

So aiming from the hip does wonders for team-killing. And since it's so realistic, one to five direct hits is death.

As an example, me and a few other guys were running down a tunnel. Suddenly an Insurgent pops out. Realizing it's too late to aim from iron sights, we all randomly shoot from our M16s and M4s.

I accidentally teamkill one person from my skillz, and I die in the crossfire from someone else.

Whoops.

The Brits call it "sods law", the likeliness of shit happening in your favour is directly proportional to shit getting fucked up.

I'll either do very good or very bad, so I screw up a lot.

The worst was earlier today in Battlefield: Bad Company 2. I set a bunch of C4 on the building around the "A" M-Com station on the very first part of Nelson Bay as Defenders. I was waiting for a bunch of enemies to rush in and arm the bomb so I could drop the building on them for Destruction 2.0 kills, as part of the Demolition Man achievement. My plan went very, very awry.

First, an enemy shot most of my C4, doing a lot of team objective damage. -200 points. Then, an enemy UAV decided it too wanted to bring the building down, and nailed a wall I put C4 on. That explosion, combined with my C4 was enough to bring the building down, but it seems the C4 was the deciding factor and not the UAV. -100 Team Kill. -100 Team Kill. -250 Team Objective Destroyed.

I dunno if you've played Battlefield, but you only get 50 points per kill, sometimes 60 if you get a headshot, and about 60 for resupplying/healing teammates. Knowing that I was clearly on the very bad side of the spectrum it'd be unlikely to make up the point difference and go positive, so I did what I figured my teammates would want me to do, and left that game with my head hanging low in shame... Not before accidentally clicking SUICIDE and not exit game.

Since games will never agree where and how grenades are thrown/dropped/tossed, a couple games of Terrorist Hunt on Rainbow Six: Vegas 2 have ended with me dropping a can of angry white phosphorus into our everything about 2-5 kills from ending it...

Oops...
