Damien smiled right back. "Mate. If I didn't care, I wouldn't mention anything. But I've seen self-pity destroy quite a few people, and I don't feel like having someone I just promised to protect hang herself, thank you." He shrugged. "Anyway, let's not confess to each other here of all places- if I were them, I would put a couple microphones here to convict us of anything else they can find, screw double jep." Damien looked out the window. "Am I the only one who notices a suspicious lack of any school?"

"What if the island itself is the school now?" Joshua inquired. "I mean, I don't think the lessons we're supposed to learn on this place can be taught in a classroom anyway. Evolution, survival of the fittest -Best learned practically, no?"

Banking to the right, the helicopter came to hover a few feet above the shore of the beach. A loud rumbling could be heard as the back of the cargo hold opened up to reveal the water and sandy shore below the chopper.

The countdown had stopped, and a new message was flashing across the screen

Aurore looked down and gulped. She took a deep breath.
"I guess I have no choice..."
She jumped off and landed on the sand and fell on her stomach.
"Ugh, got sand all over me!"
She got up and brushed herself off.

'Well I do like being shot, but jumping sounds like a fun idea too' Nick thought to himself, standing up and walking to the back of the hold. He paused for a moment, looking back at the interior one last time before hopping off the edge and rolled on impact. It wasn't so much out of necessity, more a little reduction of the force of falling onto the sand, and a lot of showmanship. He walked a few meters away and stood by Aurore "I hope we get our stuff back soon, because I would hate to be stuck in this getup indefinitely"

Damien grinned. "Jump is good. Compared to the alternative, I like jump more." Damien hopped out of the helicopter, landing on his feet. He pushed himself upright using his hand. "I wonder what would shoot us?" He asked looking around for any people or automated weaponry. He shrugged. "Ah well, doesn't matter. A bullet's a bullet." Damien listened to the others before moving closer to Aurore. "Yeah. There's a few personal possessions I would like to have back." He said, agreeing with Nick. "So...any idea where the hell we're supposed to go?"

David didn't take long in following the others out pausing only at the lip of the bay to judge the distance of the jump. It was a pretty quick hop all things considered before David's feet set down on the sand. Taking a step past the others he looked out past the beach scanning what lay beyond in a surprisingly professional manor.

"We should start looking for shelter first." He said loudly over the roar of the still close chopper.

The beach was surprisingly clean for a beach outside a ruined city. Looking up and down its length, there wasn't a single rock or shell that seemed out of place, no rock or wood derbies, just soft white sand everywhere.

A few miles inward, rocky hills could be seen and behind those, the tall foreboding remains of Camelot City rose upwards towards the clear blue sky.

Jon shrugged; there wasn't much of a choice. Dropping carefully, he landed smoothly and set off after the others, walking towards Camelot City. At this rate, there didn't seem to be much chance of a decent chem lab; he'd have to improvise, and try to cook up a simpler compound in the mean time.

Joshua landed softly on the ground. He shot the french girl another discrete look, to see if she was still safe. Usually he would have not cared for anyone, and tried to get away from the group of doomed sheep, but now he had to make sure the girl didn't get killed by any of the psychos that surely lurked this island. Not until he had had his chance. So, for now, Joshua conformed to be just another sheep in the flock.

He brushed the sand of his clothes, and looked towards the ruined city. It was obviously a stupid idea to remain on the beach, but this time he would have to wait for the group.

"Well, here goes nothing." Luke got to the edge of the helicopter's cargo door and jumped. As he landed, Luke lost his footing ans dropped on his face, causing a burst of pain all through out his head.

Spitting out mouthfuls of sand, Luke got back to his feet. "No one saw that, right?"

Aurore chuckled at Luke then began walking towards the city.
"I wonder... How many people are going to try and kill us..."
She sighed, like usual it seemed she had to depend on everyone else. Though she didn't like it, it was true. She had always depended on others to help her, speak out for her and defend her. Now she was on this island she knew that she would be stuck relying on others even more.

"GERONIMOOOO-!"

Brothanar had jumped off the helicopter, landing inches away from a person with the nametag Luke.

"Ahem...Right."

He looked around, seeing a city before him which would probably be his home for the time being.

Well, it's better then being stuck in an orphanage. At least here I can see blue sky...With a few ruined houses here and there.

"Hello Students!"

Sitting in the water beneath the helicopter, a thin old man in a bright rainbow t-shirt and matching rainbow swim shorts was waving at the group, a large toothless grin on his tanned wrinkled face.

He was rocking slightly back and forth to the rytheme of the waves, doing his best to shout over the sound of chopper

"Welcome to Camelot Island! I am..."

He paused then, his pale grey eyes squinting together as he counted the group over in his mind as another wave crashed to the shore, causing him to tilt slightly to the right

"I thought there was supposed to be 9 of you!"

Jon turned and spotted the old man, dressed in a riot of colour and sitting in the waves. While the sudden appearance was slightly confusing, he assumed that the man must be a teacher of some sort. His words confirmed it; he was speaking on behalf of the authorities, and had certainly been briefed by them, though evidently not very well

"Some of them didn't jump" he said, "Will they really be shot at?"

Slowly standing up, the old man hobbled towards the shore. He was wearing makeshift wooden sandals on his feet, and his bald head glinted in the bright sun.

"Heheh of course! Thats what the TV screen says doesn't it? The speed of when the shots begin all depend on whose piloting the chopper. Some pilots are patient and others...are just as brutal as you guys!"

Jon smiled. He decided that he liked this old man. "Do you think I could we get hold of the bodies?" he asked, hopefully, "I need a couple of organic compounds for my works, and they're damned hard to synthesise. Luckily, they naturally occur in the liver and pancreas, and it would save me a lot of time and effort.."

"Can I have what's left over?" Nick asked, perking up instantly. "As long as you leave the muscle intact, I could sort something out" He said, not revealing his cannibalism, most people probably don't take kindly to the fact, but maybe a couple could be persuaded to accept that Soylent Green tasted nice for a reason if he played his cards right. Nick thought for a moment about what he could do, taking a couple of small steps aimlessly before he bent down to tie the laces on his shoes 'At least they let me keep these on me for some reason, I'd hate to be on this godforsaken island without my Chucks.'
