This year im off to wakestock, which if you dont know is a wakeboarding music festival supposed to be really good (loads of mates have been in the past) Plays more dancey music than some other festivals like leeds which I personally just call the "Chart Fests"
You do realise that that bands that you've metioned that you like ie. prodigy, chase and status, enter shikari and pendulum have all played at leeds and reading in the past. I mean I saw chase and status, enter shikari and prodigy last year and thought it was mental !

I am going Sonisphere. It should be good fun.
I'm going too!

Also Reading, maybe Rebellion, but I'd only really be going for Bad Religion.
And Infernal Damnation in April, but that's one day so bleh.

In fact, I should stop thinking about this year and plan and save for next year. After A-Levels and with no mandatory family holiday I plan to live at Music fests for the summer.

GLASTONBURY, WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! I live in reading and would go to reading festival, but it sold out.
You do realise they are selling another batch at the end of the month, right ?
Yea, but it was either that or Glastonbury, it would cost too much for both.

Download, if it has a good line up. Sonisphere possibly as it's quite close to where I'm gonna be staying and it's new. Reading/Leeds, again, lineup depending... just because it was such a good laugh last year.
The Download lineup's looking amazing, though I've heard talk of Metro Station begin added, Sonisphere's is pretty good, marred slightly by 3 poppy, emo bands (the plan's to bottle them) and Reading has Blink 182 self-confirming with rumours of My Chemical Romance.

I'd quite like to go to Download some day. Also I WISH I had gone to Reading when they had tenacious D, metallica and rage against the machine back in '08.

I usually end up going to knockengorroch, its a smallish festival mostly reggae, drum and bass, dubstep along with some rock and blues.

Sounds like you made the the better choice of the two to be honest. The reading line-up this year is meant to be terrible. Rumours of MCR and Blink-182 headlining...(Shudder)

Bottling bands is extremely pathetic, no matter how 'poppy' or 'emo' they are. It's quite simple, if people don't like the band, don't go and see them.

This news shocks and surprises me. =D

Download and Leeds/Reading have quite good line ups, but due to limited funds, I can't go this year. So I'm going to be saving like crazy for the rest of this year just in case they are similarly good next year.

Well since the lineup was Iron Maiden, Rammstein, Slayer, Metallica, Anthrax, Motley Crue, Alice Cooper etc. Most of us want to know what the organisers were thinking when they booked Funeral for a Friend, Fightstar and Madina Lake for a metal festival.

I think it's along the lines of cater to everyone. What the hell are you crying about?! Iron Maiden, Rammstein, Alice Cooper, Motley Crue Iggy and the fucking Stooges are all still playing. Just because a few bands you don't like are also playing are you gonna pout all weekend?

I'm planning to go to Graspop Metal Meeting this summer with some friends. The already-announced line-up looks awesome.

Unfortunately, I will only be able to go on Saturday, so I'll have to miss Alestorm and, I think, My Dying Bride. Paradise Lost and Amon Amarth say they'll come on Saturday, however. So that balances it a bit. Pity I won't be able to see Alestorm.

Now lets pray Sabaton and Korpiklaani will also come on that day.

Might check knock out this May, but I'm looking forward to Eden again this September. Was pretty good last year considering it was it's first.

Goddamn, double post ¬.¬
I missed edenfest last year but i did hear good things about it. I might check it out, but i think it's on about the same time as the second knockengorroch festival of the year, and Knock is quite an experience i would recommend checking out either the May or September one.

Don't cater to everyone at a metal festival. Cater to metalheads. And yes, I am going to pout all weekend. Andalusa shall be the witness.

Hmm, guess I should've known better than to ask that question. I only hope they manage to get Lethal Bizzle on the bill soon.

If they do, I'll be front row, centre cheering.

I'll go to Lowlands festival, again. Pretty mainstream, but still a real good fun with a relaxed atmosphere.

Even though he's not metal?
I can have variation in my musical taste. My Top 15 on Last.fm is a mix of metal (all subgenres), punk and country music. And Eminem makes an appearance too.
