The big four of thrash (Metallica,Megadeth,Anthrax and mostly slayer)are a good bet sacred reich are also rather awesome and SOAD (who do some screaming but not much)
Never heard of Sacred Reich. I'll give them a try. Thanks.
If you can find it i`d really suggest the ignorance/surf nicaragua box set ,it features arguably their best work and anyone here got american way? been looking for it and wonder if it`s worth getting
American Way was the first song I listened to earlier. Bloody amazing.

Try Motorhead, that's the heaviest music I've got, nice lyrics, and good music, especially Ace of Spades.

Bit of a deviation from my usually silly threads today. I need help finding something to listen to, I'm looking for something really heavy but without the lyrics being only screamed. Some screaming's ok but I prefer singing in my music. Can anyone suggest anything for me to try?
Metallica, for sure. Disturbed and Godsmack are other options.

The lyrics are awesome because they don't exist!

Trivium's Shogun album is good, its got a bit of screaming but not too much.
Disturbs also good for heavier stuff without screaming.

A Day To Remember, it's metal with a mix of pop punk, but they get REALLY heavy
Calico System
Comeback Kid, if you like Anthrax
The Autumn Offering
The Flaming Tsunamis, they have horns though and that can turn a lot of people off, but there complete album is free and legal at http://www.communityrecords.org/news/?page_id=228, so their is nothing to lose (have to go active bands)

Alestorm and Tyr! Pirate Metal, and Viking Metal (bands from the Faroe Islands so not all songs are in English), respectively.

You should definitely check out 'Fact'.

Just type 'A Fact of Life' into youtube for their single. You won't regret it ;D

Umm... Electric Wizard for chill slow (good) doom metal. I assume you have heard of Iron Maiden and Judas Priest (if not please intorouce yourself to Mr Backhand). Strongly second Opeth, Pantera, Sabbath, anything Serj Tankian has ever touched, and Sepultura . Overkill and Testament are very good thrash metal, if thats what your into. RHAPSODY IS THE GREATEST POWER/SYMPHONIC METAL BAND EVER. Dio is a good bet if power metal is your thing. Voivod is IMO the greatest metal band ever to come out of Canada.

If you are okay with Death Metal, please reply and I'll continue you comment on my Itunes publicly.

Lostprophets are the only ones I can think of currently. May come back with more ideas later.

Not Metal or Heavy.

/elitist wankery
How could I see someone posting that as soon as I said it?

Anyway, more stuff whom people will probably insult me for:
The Used
Dragonforce
The Gallows (Possibly, but they're not really the singing type)
