I'm just curious if there are any people who play instruments here and if so, what kind of music do you play, what equipment do you use, etc.?

Guitar (Classical method, electric), Electric Bass, String Bass, Harmonica, Mallet Percussion, Piano.

I only play guitar and bass well, and even then I don't brag about it.

I play trumpet in my school's jazz band. Do mutes count as equipment?
I'd say so. I sometimes use certain around the house things to make a prepared guitar which, based on my limited knowledge of brass instruments is the conceptually same idea.

Saxophone (alto, tenor, bari) Guitar(acoustic MY BABY, Electric), Harmonica, Piano.
I use a small 5-channel Berhinger Mixer, about 300 feet of 1/4" cable, Soundforge by Sony, 3 Denelectro pedals 94if you count the shitty Overdrive), and a scrappy TalkBox adaptation. I also have a few dozen feet of XLR and 4 mics.
I play funk, jazz, rock, indy, and a few subgenres of stuff.
I sing all of the above, write some, and take particular delight in lounge singing, and write ballds in the style of Sammy Davis, Jr.

Christ. lotsa stuff. looks bigger on paper (forum, whatever).

EDIT: Ihave to admit, my sax(alto) is a yamaha, and my acoustic guitar is a squier. so sue me.

For the record, I play drums, guitar, and bass. For guitar, I play with an Ibanez GAX70 and an Epiphone SG and a Guild Acoustic with a Digitech Whammy IV effects pedal. My drum set up is a Ludwig set with a couple custom Zildjian cymbal. I'm a novice at bass which shows as all I've got is a Squier P-Bass. I tend to play prog, alternative, jazz, and occasionally metal.

I've been playing Bass Guitar since I was like 12.
Used to play the Clarinet at primary school too. Doubt I could remember any songs though. Maybe Yankee Doodle.

I play guitar; I have one of those 40th anniversary stratocasters. It's pretty sweet. I also play a little bit of saxophone and a littler bit of drums.

I be a drummer. I play with double bass orange county kit with axis longboard pedals/zildjin crashes chinas and rides/Joey Jordison signiture snare(loud as fuck!).

I play death or groove metal, or if I'm feeling weird a little punk.

I'm a bassist and a lyricist (Yes I know lyrics aren't an instrument but to me they're just as important as one). Been playing for a few years now. I mostly play alt rock, reggae, funk and jazz but I'm open to playing more or less anything and have done hip-hop, punk and metal once or twice.

My equipment is an Electric Blue Fender Standard Jazz Bass and a Behringer bass amp. Nothing special, I can't afford fancy stuff :p I do need a new amp though...this one's a bit small.

EDIT: I've also done some synth work in the past (AKA screwing around with Garage Band and FL Studio until something good came out) made a few trance songs and some hip-hop beats. Nothing great, but it was a fun experience.

And finally I do comedy hip-hop. Basically parodies of popular hip-hop songs (A la Weird Al). Most of which are about gaming and the whole 1337 phenomenon and pretty much all of them are Jamaican/inside jokes that not many people get...Oh well.

I do Hip Hop beats and I rap. Atleast, that's the only musical thing I've done on stage and have recorded. I was only paid twice for what I've done, however. Both times in food. Yes. I will rap for food.

I've also taught myself to do deathcore/hardcore/death metal/screamo style vocals in the past year and am ready to join a band as soon as I get my schedule a little more clear. That's basically all that I've been focused on in the past six months, because I haven't written any raps or done any beats in a long while.

I took a guitar class in my school and learned a few songs, though I mostly just played standard chords and a few simple riffs. Other than that, I got no instruments under my belt other than my voice and Magix Music Maker program.

I started playing music on trumpet, then I moved to piano, but now I play guitar. I have an Epiphone electric and an Ovation acoustic, not sure of eithers models. I also use a Line 6 amp, but I still want a Marshall.

I play both electric and classical guitar for a bit over a year. I have a Fender tele and some crappy classical guitar (should be getting a new one soon though).

Mostly play Chili Peppers and a bit of Zeppelin and some classical pieces.

I am with the violin. And the singing, actually.

My main acoustic is an early 20th Century remake of a 1685 Nicolaus Amatus which I received from my grandmother.

My electric is a Carlo Giordano. It's pretty. And purple. And sexier than just about anything.

No amps yet, I've been lazy. I want to get some pedals too. For that truely brutal sound.

I play the saxaphone and occasionally acoustic guitar, and I'm good at the former but suck at the latter.
