Saxophones are awesome. Especially sleaze sax, a sort of noir jazz if you will.TheBadass post=18.72463.762510 said:I play the saxaphone and occasionally acoustic guitar, and I'm good at the former but suck at the latter.

That is one fantastic instrument, right there..... I've only ever tried playing an electric cello once, and it wasn't really all that good (people have yet to find out how to make electric cellos that are as high-quality as elecrtic violins)Labyrinth post=18.72463.762464 said:I am with the violin. And the singing, actually.
My main acoustic is an early 20th Century remake of a 1685 Nicolaus Amatus which I received from my grandmother.
My electric is a Carlo Giordano. It's pretty. And purple. And sexier than just about anything.

No amps yet, I've been lazy. I want to get some pedals too. For that truely brutal sound.
Where did you study? Peabody? Towson? Someplace else?clarinetJWD post=18.72463.763530 said:I have a degree in clarinet performance (Bb, A, and Eb), and used to play the piano. I also minored in Composition, and had a second major in Audio production and recording

I don't actually know. I believe it was made pre-1940 however.jamanticus post=18.72463.762916 said:That is one fantastic instrument, right there..... Now, how old is your acoustic violin, within the 20th century, that is?
I can think of two popular guitarists who play like that. Albert King and Doyle Bramhall II.Invader Ezri post=18.72463.763914 said:I play the piano and am currently attempting to teach myself to play the guitar.
