Hey, man... Kinda got some experience about this over here. Best thing you can do right now is to go out with your friends. Hell, go out every single night, even if it's only to take a walk. In about a week you should be feeling better.

Also, I know this is a bit unorthodox, but revenge sex is pretty good too. If you fuck everything that moves for a while, you should be over her in no time.

I just woke up from a dream about her in full blown tears, and remembered I made this thread. Thanks guys, you're a bunch of legends. I should probably actually go into what happened, as I did leave it pretty barebones.

We'd been going through a rough patch, and the last time I'd seen her was on Monday (working a job and college has been taking up most of my time). She started an argument over nothing, and later realised she was being ridiculous, and apologised. We then make up.

Cue today, I haven't really heard from her all week, and we then speak on the phone for me to find out she doesn't love me anymore, and she fucked this guy Saturday night, and she wants to be with him.

I know I shouldn't, but I fucking miss her. This feels shit.

No.

I will not cheer you up, and I don't think a bunch of voices on the net are going to help fix the hole you got growing inside you. This pain you feel today? This feeling of loss that pours everything out of your heart? If it was honest, it's never going away. Not because a few keystrokes told you it'll be ok. If it's not, and there is a chance it wasn't, you're going to wake up soon, and it's not going to matter.

The trick is if you really care to find something or someone to plug that hole. Do you have a passion? Do you write, create, draw, cook.. Is there anything in your life right now that you know you need to do? Right now man, that matters. The people you see everyday that pats you on the back, that matters. The feelings you got right now matter, but pain? Pain matters the most, cause you'll remember what this is like when you're kissing the one that matters to you and it'll finally stop hurting.

Sorry to hear that buddy. You can always watch some TeamFourStar stuff. That should last several hours and make you laugh. Laughter is the best medicine, as they say. Penicillin is probably better, but in this case, I prescribe laughter.

Why would you feel guilty about porn anyway?
Funny enough, when I'm in a relationship, I have zero interest in porn. It suddenly loses all appeal. Don't even have to be sexually active with my partner to lose the interest, I should point out. It's an oddity that might be unique to me.

Oh my god, what an absolute asshole. She tells you this over the phone? At the very least if she had the capacity to do this, she's probably not someone you would have wanted to end up with in the first place. Absolutely worse right now, but as it goes on that might make things easier to accept.

Doesn't change how much it sucks though. I'm very sorry to hear about what happened. Getting cheated on is a huge violation of trust and nobody deserves it.

As for the cheering up, who am I to deviate from the current trend?

Grab a large bottle of spirits and go see her cute friend that you've always had your eye on and gotten on well with. Have a heart to heart with her about "how could your she (your ex) be so heartless *sob**sob*"

Wait till you are both well drunk but not smashed and then put on the moves

This has about a 75% chance of working.

You get rebound sex, revenge sex and a happier disposition in one fell swoop

Do not follow this advice, this is bad advice. Move along and try to find something else to make you happy, trying to get back at them isn't going to help.

This is all you need, if only to show you that a lot of people not in 3rd world countries have had it worse. Plus it puts a smile on my face every single time.

But for long-term good feels? Get a new hobby. Something creative that you can really get into. Learn to play an instrument, learn to code, something that takes a lot of thought and leads you to feel accomplished, something that makes you feel like a better person as a whole, like you're better without them (yes, I know that's terribly written). It's gonna take effort, but you'll feel great once you get past the initial hump and you'll have something to impress others with when you're done too!

Burn something. Start small. Watch the pretty flames dance as you meditate onto yourself.
Then move up. Slowly. Bigger fuel sources. Bigger sparks and watch steadily as the flame tongues grow.
Grow and grow and grow and grow, turn the fires into a physical manifestation of your anger as it feeds on the kindling that is your emotions, leaving nothing in it's wake but dead ash.
Then soon, your fire will grow large enough. Large enough to devour the world and leave NOTHING LEFT BUT CHARRED REMAINS. A HUSK OF A WORLD ONCE TEEMING WITH LIFE.
A TESTAMENT TO WHAT YOU. ARE. CAPABLE. OF.

...That or a creative endeavor like poetry or music. Turn any potential harmful, bad feelings into something physical, harmless and good instead, talent or skill regardless. Don't bottle them up inside or they just end up hurting you in the long run.

Time heals all wounds, but that time may feel like forever until it arrives. So a distraction might help, and might as well be a distraction you enjoy.

This feeling will pass man. We all stumble in life, but to quote an old saying. "Fall seven times. Get up eight."

Also, to cheer you up, I give you this.

The best thing about this is that, you will get over it eventually. The bad news is the eventually part. It will take time. More good news is that, I am assuming you broke up with her, you are now out of what was probably or what was going to become a terrible relationship.
Anyway, go do something you love or try something completely new. You might find a new hobby you love, something new in your hobby that you love, or you might make new friends (that last one would help a lot).
