It does if you hack your software then update, and there is an equivalent, but the odds of it happening are almost negligible, instead of what might be a sure thing at some point.Onyx Oblivion said:Does the Wii have a RROD/LYOD equivalent?
I know most of the RROD problems are caused by a combination of overheating and bad ventilation, so amen to keeping the damn things cleaned out. If you think back, even the NES had these problems--remember blowing out the dust in the cartridge any time it went up and tried choking on itself? Just because it's a shiny new system that cost you a car payment or something doesn't mean you don't have to do the same thing you did years ago--you gotta keep the dust out, or you'll end up with a $300+ paperweight.Nmil-ek said:I have to wonder with all these console hardware faults do you people actualy maintain your machines? Not that I'm claiming to know what the general cause of these faults are I dont but considering a majority of problems are caused by dust buildup or bad ventilation well it seems a common mistake most people dont notice or take the time to check. I mean hell a 5 minute dust a day and keeping hardware near an open window just seems like common sense to me and Im still running a launch day ps2, launch day ps3 wihtout fault.
No scratch that seems I'm bang on about the cause of the YLOD clean your damned fan out.
I got this yesterday!!FallenJellyDoughnut said:For the PS3 its known as the "YLOD" or Yellow light of death.
Haha I thought the same thing!Hamster at Dawn said:I feel bad for you but the only thought going through my head right now is showing this thread to as many PS3 fanboys as possible.
See there's your problem, you wanted to be horrible and the PS3 with the Emotion Engine as his father doesn't want you to hurt and kill.OriginalError said:looking forward into crashing into a friends game and Archerying all over their face
