Did anyone have them when they were little? And what was your favourite game and why? Me I had a psone. I would have rather had a N64. I always played my cousins.

I still have an NES and an SNES, and I don't own any consoles newer than those.

I don't even have to watch that video. NINNNTEEEEEEENDOOOOOOOOO SIIIIIIIIXTYYYYYYYYYY FOOOOOOOOOOUUUUUUUURRRR....

The thing is that I found n64 controllers to be a big step backwards from SNES and NES controllers. They were worse than the original xbox controllers for me.

I still have my N64. It is plugged in and I play it anytime i get nostalgic. Now, the only thing is, I can't find any games for it. I know they stopped making them, but I think there still should be a shop dedicated to selling them.

It was my first console and I still have it (though my cousins sold most of the good games to buy 10 year old basketball games(*sniff* you will be missed Banjo-Tooie)).

N64 was the last good nintendo console, before they started making kiddy, novelty games. The n64 had Golden eye, which along with doom, made the first person shooter- genre. Also the first Mario and Zelda games in 3D were a revolution on the n64,unlike the endless rehash's of said games they churn out today.

Try ebay. I'm sure you will find a bunch there. That is where I recently bought my Spyro 2 game again.

i always wanted one as a kid, but i didn't have one. I loved Super Smash Bros., perfect dark, and of course, Goldeneye. Maybe I'll buy one off of Ebay now that I'm a man.

One of the best consoles I have ever owned was the N64, it's shining moment for me was when my mother got mad at me for my poor grades, (she blamed the video games as most adults do) and she slammed my N64 on the floor (non carpeted) and the next day i plugged it in, and to my surprise it worked perfectly fine. I defy you to name any console since that can withstand that punishment. (maybe the Gamecube but that's a Nintendo product anyway)

My Ps2 had great games, but I have to look down at it in comparison to the N64 for deciding one day to not be able to read any of my games ("Disk Read Error" my balls)

My favorite Games:
"Legend of Zelda(Oot and Majora's mask)"
"Super Smash Bros."
"Mario Kart"
"Super Mario 64"
"Some Star Wars racing game"

Solid hardware and Great games... I miss Cartridges

Another redundant thread from DethFan666. Well, it looks like he got properly slapped on the wrist for it.
But, so as not to be a douche, I'll do more than say, "I warned em'" lest I justly share his fate.

I never owned a N64, but I did boot up an Emulator some time after they were out of style. It was a cute little console, really, back in the birth of when we could get excited when Super Mario went from 2D to 3D. By today's standards, however, it comes off as little more than a gimmick with only a few memorable games, many of which you can find better titles for more current consoles. For example:
  • [li]Super Smash Brothers Brawl versus the original Super Smash Brothers[/li]
[li]Super Mario Galaxy versus Super Mario 64[/li]
[li]Original Paper Mario versus Thousand Year Door [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Paper_Mario:_The_Thousand-Year_Door] or Super Paper Mario [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Super_Paper_Mario].[/li]
[li]Most current day racers versus Mario kart.[/li]
[li]Any current day FPS versus Perfect Dark.[/li]
And so on.

The memorable ones are worth taxing nostalgia over, however.

Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time and Majora's Mask are, in my opinion, the best of the series. Just the right mixture of kitschy Zelda-like flavor and action. The games that would follow on the GameCube involving big headed freak kid were artsy and neat, but they just didn't have the same appeal. Twilight Princess, on the other hand, was just overdone.

Perhaps one of the greatest experiences in gaming history was when I ended up fighting the great and mighty poo [http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0w5neFPat1w] in Conker's Bad Fur Day.

So, here's to you Nintendo 64, we hardly knew ye.

Christ, I feel sorry for kids that refer to anything older than the SNES as something people owned as 'little kids.'

There'll be a generation of brats on here that'll start making posts dedicated to "What did you think of those old PS3 games when you were a kid?"

I never could get my brain (or my hands) around using the N64 controller. It just wasn't designed for humans.

I have one but I don't really play it that much. I mean, it's still pretty fun, but I don't play it as much as my 360.

Also, it's hard to get your hands on the games.
