Name a TV show that ended just right.

In these forums I've seen a few threads about TV shows that either died before their time or have long since lost their magic, but I don't think I've seen any for shows that got it spot on. That kept us all entertained for long enough but didn't outstay their welcome, and also managed to sign off without some cop out ending that everyone hated. So if you think you have one, name it. :)

My choice would be Blackadder. 4 seasons of some of the best quality comedy ever seen on TV. It started off funny and only ever got funnier; and even after all the jokes the end scene was one of the most moving I have ever seen. I don't say this about many things, but it was, in my opinion, perfect. (There's also the fact that Blackadder was one of the two main shows that launched Hugh Laurie's career, so without Blackadder there may never have been a House, which is probably the best thing still on TV).

Not Twin Peaks.
No spoilers, but Twin Peaks had a terrible ending.

Babylon 5 ended well, though.

Stargate SG-1, Stargate Universe, and arguably Heroes.

Six Feet Under

couldn't have asked for a better ending to that show
Seconded, though I guess I don't have that many shows to compare it to since I usually give up on them before ending. Maybe when Dexter ends (Or has it already? We've only got 3 seasons where I live).

There really arent that many shows that ended well : / they keep getting pulled out for another series/season and it mostly sucks. Blackadder did have a good ending though :D
Kinda sullen and moot though : /

Black Books. Every single character is written and acted so perfectly, it's hard to imagine it finishing any other way :)

NO! Scrubs ended perfectly. This new season might have the same name and a few similarities, but it CANNOT be called Scrubs! As far as I'm concerned, Scrubs finished and then they made a spin-off which was FAR inferior.

OT. I would agree with the person who said Heroes. It was a shame it finished as I really enjoyed it, but it did at least end things in a way that wasn't totally retarded.

Got to admit it fitted though. The stupidity of the First World War and a lot of the people who took part in it was a great joke mine for the series, but even after all that silliness they still had the balls to remind everyone that the stupidity of it all in real life led to millions of people dying pointlessly. It just wouldn't have been the same if they'd all gone home or escaped somehow.

Monk. I know some people who thought it was too cheery at the end, but I really thought it was great. He deserves to be happy!
