Here's my favorites of this generation so far:
1) Red Dead Redeption
Great Writing, characters, and shooting
2) Bayonetta
Loved the art direction, the best Hack-and-Slash game I've played yet, awesome lead character
3) Bioshock
I've found it to be vary immersive, plus I love the puzzle mini-games
4) Rage
I'm a Id shooter fan, love the gunplay and the animations
5) Skullgirls
Love the art, love the characters, and looks great on an HDTV

5)Uh... The Dark Spire... What can I say, it reminded me of Akalabeth (Ultima 0) and The Bard's Tale.
Huh. I really like 2d Castlevania.

I just noticed all those where Play station exclusives. I just want to say I have an x box and I do play on the PC as well. But I just liked those games the most.

This is so hard... a lot more than 5 games this gen where terrific, impossible to establish an order.
But these 5 have left the biggest mark on me:
- Demon's Souls
This was to me the most unexpected yet biggest discovery in gaming since Gothic 1.
Although Dark Souls improves on a lot of things, it is Demon's Souls that is a little more focused,
a little more it's own, so this one gets the top spot in my list
- Super Mario Galaxy 2
Super Mario Galaxy was a revelation. But Nintendo did the unthinkable and made Galaxy 2, a game that has,
in my eyes, literally no flaws and was the most fun gaming experience in years.
- Portal
Not much to say here, except that it's just perfect.
- Metal Gear Solid 4
One of the first games I played this generation and the first MGS I ever played, I was deeply impressed by
this one. This was the game that really started this gen for me and the ending ranks among my favorite
game endings of all time
- World of Warcraft
There is a lot to hate about WoW. It's repetitive, the mechanics are dated, it was an enormous time sink,
etc, but it's a simple fact that it managed to entertain me greatly for at least 3 years, before it began
to drag. It is certainly the most important game this generation, and even if one doesn't like it, I think
it is one of the very best.

1.) Kingdom Hearts: Birth By Sleep (PSP...IT COUNTS.)
2.) Deus Ex: Human Revolution (PC)
3.) Tribes Ascend (PC)
4.) League of Legends (PC)
5.) Battlefield 3 (PS3)
Honorable Mentions:
WoW: This game kept me entertained for at least 6 years. I don't regret a moment of it.
Serious Sam 3: BFE: Great game. Loved it, but unfortunately lost interest in it because of my shifting interests (I have streaks where I play only a certain genre. Sadly i got BFE near the end of that streak
)
