I don't know what my last name means, but it possible that it originated in Germany.

Last name: Scottish, but apparently the odd spelling indicates Nordic origins, or its a German word borrowed by the Saxons who moved north into Scotland. Means either Spear, Spear-like. More errata involved as many different branches decided to distinguish themselves.
