Almost positively likely to be lame. Whatever you do with the series, the original concept is too weak.

My fall television season forecast: explosiony with a chance of "meh."
Even after seeing Vinnie Jones, I remain disinterested. If NBC is watching - it's because of the pasted-on look of all the VFX. At least use a damn gaussian blur, and feather your masks! It takes less than a minute, and would keep The Cape from looking like Bibleman.

Take any comic book series, provide that information, and you've caught the person up to whats going on...

Though I'm interested to see how this will compare to ABC's just announced superhero show "No Ordinary Family," where a family (lead by Micheal Chiklis) gets superpowers.

I wouldn't be surprised a bit if they explain the cape's special properties with "electrical induction capacitors" or some equally bullshit science.
