so guys this is the story,
its coming upto my second year of uni and since my laptops so close to dying i decided it would be best to get a new computer since my course relies heavily on using 3d programs, because of this i have decided to build my own computer as i know you can get far more bang for your cash. my budgets about £663 i could go higher if i think it will be worth it the desktop has to be able to run the likes of maya, the unreal engine etc.
this is what i have come up with
processor - ADM phenomII x6 black edition 1090T 3.2ghz 9mb cache
motherboard - Asus M4A785TD-V EVO
GPU - HIS HD 5770 1GB GDDR5 DVI HDMI Display Port Out PCI-E Graphics Card
RAM - OCZ Gold 4GB (2x2GB) DDR3 PC3-16000C10 (2000MHz) Dual Channel Kit (OCZ3G2000LV4GK) [OCZ3G2000LV4GK]
HDD - 500GB
optical drive - DVD drive
PSU - 700w
main quieries i have is,
AMD and intel what are the pros and cons of each as i could get an i5 or i7 for the same price
AMD is it really worth going for the black edition or should i go for the cheaper ordinary 1055T one?
is the motherboard i mentioned any good?
most importantly will this setup happily do what i want it too?
and anything else important im missing out?
and just your general opinion will be great any hints and tips etc etc
just this will be my first and ill be spending alot of my own hard earned cash and dont want to ruin it all.
