You reminded me, I completely forgot to recommend Tokyo Godfathers. That was such a wonderful, hilarious movie.InvisibleSeal said:Yay you recommended Paprika and Perfect Blue!Aby_Z said:And movies: Paprika, Perfect Blue, Blood: The Last Vampire, Akira, End of Evangelion(Required watching if you haven't already seen it since you've watched NGE.)
From the anime you've already watched, obviously FMA brotherhood, but I would also recommend the Naku koro ni series (Higurashi no Naku koro ni, then Higurashi no naku koro ni kai, and finally Umineko no naku koro ni) and of course Darker than Black (it isn't as serious as the others, but it definately isn't comedy) and Claymore.
For less action-based anime, the best would be Lucky star. I won't mention anything about Evangelion since I'm sure other people are better qualified to explain the sequels and things.
Well I've seen her design and from what I've read she's much more eccentric and happy than the rest of the cast; She doesn't show any signs of being depressed or anything. I'll have to wait till I see the movie before I can truly accept her as part of the cast though.Hazy said:I Take that back - only Ritsuko was replaced.Aby_Z said:snip
Misato just seems to be talking in a much more subdued pitch.
I'm actually quite interested to see how they pull off the design/characterization of that new pilot.
and...that's what To Aru Majutsu no Index is for?Cheveyo said:masher said:Gurren Lagann, To Aru Majutsu no Index, or (sequel - To Aru Kagaku no Railgun).
First one's supernatural and a mecha. Other two are supernatural

Isn't railgun like 90% fan service?
They are all quite young, so I would say a lot of that is fanservice... To be honest I've watched some of Toaru Majutsu no Index and it seemed to be a sort of anime you don't really have to think about, since it's just for mindless fun. There are quite alot of Shonen anime I would class like that though - but I don't think it means you should write them off.Cheveyo said:Isn't railgun like 90% fan service?
I second this recommendation too, it was interesting and fun. I have never seen anything by Satoshi Kon that I haven't liked so far actuallyAby_Z said:You reminded me, I completely forgot to recommend Tokyo Godfathers. That was such a wonderful, hilarious movie.

Another good one is Soul Eater - Supernatural
Go to Anime eater. They have lots, but Myspace (The JX player) has cut alot of the anime and therefore shorted the amount of anime that they posess.BaMzOoKi said:So just finished Neon Genesis, which i really enjoyed. But looking to watch something new so hoping you guys would be so kind as to help me out. Haven't been into anime all that long, I've watched Code Geass, FMA and Elfen lied so far so maybe something along those lines, but if ye have something totally different wouldn't mind that at all either.
Cheers for any help in my quest against boredom.
That right there is some of the funniest shit i've ever seen. Well done sir, i laughed till i cried.Cheveyo said:DreadfulSorry said:It's definitely not like some of the other ones that have been suggested, but Azumanga Daioh is pretty awesome, as long as you can get past a few high-pitched and hyper characters.
I love that show.
Especially Kimura. He's so blatantly creepy that I can't help put have respect for the character.
