We had nerf gun fights in college all the time. Hell when we were waiting for class to start one would pass around a Nerf N-Strike Maverick REV-6

and play Russian roulette.

Probally not something you'd want to do in grade school with all the shootings and suicides, but in college it was loads of fun. (no pun intended)
Ah, the Maverick. Best Nerf revolver ever.

I don't see why people were looking at you funny, maybe they are just jealous. I for one still have a C-S 6 Nerf rifle that is also a pistol and rifle combo.

On another note my Captcha thing says angel wings, how did the computer know I was polish?

Stop buying the little guns man, get one of those belt fed beasts and a sword to top it off.

Screw those guys. Nerf is awesome. Especially since I modded my heavy machine gun nerf blaster with a 500 round dart box and hooked it up to one a car battery.

NERF OR NOTHING MOTHER *******

I live in a college town where HvZ is running constantly, so we see lots of grown people running about shooting each other with nerf guns. I tend to prefer paintball, but that is more for speed and accuracy if they made a nerf gun that could hold accuracy out to that range I would happily play with them and the hell with the people who just want to take the piss out of it

There is no age limit for fun. One of my favorite quotes that relates to this subject comes from a Jimmy Buffet song: "Growing older, but not up."

I also had a talk with one of my middle school students who (for some reason) was getting teased for still playing with LEGOs. He shouldn't need reassuring that something like that is always ok to play with. ALWAYS.

It is a lot of fun, but barely reliable if you actually want to use it for something competitive (like Humans vs. Zombies). But some friends and I too played Russian Roulette with it, although we also turned it into a drinking game:

We put 2 darts in opposite sides of the gun. Spin it and fire. If you get shot, take a drink (or for more hardcore players, a shot). If you live, pass your drink/shot to someone else. Repeat.

Your never to old to shoot a Nerf Gun or build a kick-ass Lego Castle.

The hell with those people, they're just made that they're stuck in a boring ass life while you and your friends are going to have fun with some awesome nerf stuff
That's pretty much my opinion on people who think there is such a thing as "Being too old for Toys", It's like "Being too old for fun", your never too old for that!

I am not pretty big on NERF, to tell you the truth.

However, there is no reason not to have one.

It's not much different than airsoft or paintball, if you forget the fact that you can probably piss further than their effective range.

EDIT: is that your profile pic a black dude with a golden tooth? lol!

If I may share a story,
On season 2 of Top Shot on History, of the final 10 competitors most were former military.
They were provided with Nerf guns to relive some stress, all of them loved it.
NEVER TO OLD FOR NERF GUNS!

A large group of my friends (about 15-20 people) got together for a "very Nerfy Christmas" last year. We're all well into adulthood (I'm 27). It was a fucking blast. We got drunk and/or high and ran around someone's back yard at night with Nerf guns for about an hour.

The only problem we ran into was that everyone bought Mavericks because they're cheap.

There's mods to NERF darts and guns that give them ranges of up to 100 ft IIRC

And they're sorta cheaper, depending on how you use em

Yeah. but you can't do much for accuracy. I find it fun to take accurate shots with inherently inaccurate "weapons", though.

I think the best thing about NERF is the looks. I like the yellow and orange futuristic look.

One of my friends has a large Nerf arsenal (about 60-some guns). Assault rifles, sniper rifles, rocket launchers, crossbows, revolvers, pistols, ball launchers, "bulletproof" vests, swords, knifes, and all manner or scopes, grips, and underbarrel flashlights to attach to this weaponry. We once booked his development's clubhouse for about 6 hours for his girlfriend's grad party. We brought lots of cardboard boxes and had a Nerf War.

And it was amazing.

No shame. None at all.
