Nah, if there really was a god we'd also be getting Hulu.
And we'd be allowed to actually watch episodes directly from a channel's website. I hate Global. Their player is a piece of crap.

now netflix needs to bring a streaming only plan for like 6 dollars a month to the US. I all most never rent discs from the service I only ever stream. I would completely love them to make a streaming only option.

While you're watching our precious films, we will swoop in and take over, thus our conquest of North America will be complete.

The snobby Quebec people are pwned for the time being. That's my perception of things.

Yes, I want to Quebec and no, those people have yet to change my stereotype of them. French people fine but the Quebec people are too much for me. Don't flame, it's MY experience.
Since 90% of the Canadian population is unilingually English, I really don't think this is a big deal anyway.
Exactly, I haven't met anyone that only speaks French but still, it gave me two good chuckles when they mentioned "French will be included 'over time'". My humour is awkward I suppose.
don't forget New Brunswick they too are semi french
We are all supposed to be bilingual now. That whole french immersion thing (that I missed) in schools. I am surprised they are allowed to come in without both.

Last time I checked, several companies existed in Canada that offered a similar service. I even tried a few. I wasn't too impressed, too often a DVD just wouldn't work, or would work badly.

But I don't believe any of them offered online streaming.

Obviously I wasn't referring that they don't speak English. They just have a strong preference for French and rather remain clear from English. OMFG indeed. And no, I am not dissing...Well I actually am. Sorry.
What is your first language anyway?

I actually grew up with multiple languages, one of the things that's ingrained early in The Netherlands.

Basically, I am of Turkish descent, but I have grown up with Dutch // Turkish // English. I never had a 'first' language so to speak.
And you probably speak some French and German as well ;)

"Kiki's Delivery Service" DVD has been at my house for over 3 months at this point.

I watched it, and can't find anything else I want to watch that's not on Instant.

OT:

Enjoy, Canadians! Don't worry about the discs...you won't need them.

Kudos to you, Canadia, filled with all your many little Canadians (I'm a big fan, by the way). Netflix is a highly enjoyable service. Heck, I've been using it today! I'm about to use it right now! OFF I GO!

Zip.ca has been doing mailed DVD and blurays for a least a year and a half, and have been doing a good job at that. The only reason I could see to switch would be netflix's larger library, which we don't have access to. Sorry netflix, but I'd rather have the discs.
