It took more than 2D to make the old sonic games good. The creators of the game need to know how to do a little thing called "level design", and I'm fairly certain any members of sonic team who knew anything about that have long since left.

Guarantee they're going to mess it up, by putting big the cat, or puttingi in more bad music or making it emo again.

Meh... I liked Sonic Adventure DX... it was a pretty good game. The chao aspect was OK, but totally extra, so those who disliked it could not deal with it. It had pretty good gameplay, the controls were tight and responsive, and the voice acting, while somewhat annoying, especially by Amy, wasn't ear raping. And the friends had a point, different game modes. I'm just tired of people saying no 3D Sonic game was any good. At least from my viewpoint, there's at least one.
Weren't the Sonic GBA games all 2D, or for the most part? No one talks about them either. Generally only Sonic, and only 2D, reminiscent of the original. They didn't do so hot, I gather, as they're rarely discussed.

I'll get this,just for the sake of finding out what is the big deal about the old games? Yeah I like the 3D Sonic games! I like a good story! I like being able to play as other people in the Sonic world. I am SO SICK of the whole "Sonic was better in 2d" Or "All characters but Sonic and Robuttnic need to die." Or even better "Sonic needs to die." Screw you assholes. I'm, sick of you guys that whine and ***** about not getting your self centered nostalgia way ,and now when they give it to you still are whining. Sonic Adventure 2 Battle got me into Sonic. I love Shadow the Hedgehog, Heroes, Unleashed, The Rush games, and hell even Black Knight. They have all this story and have made character that I have come to love and they throw it all away for a time travel game for you whinny jerks?! GAHAHH!!! Yeah if this is ranting or trolling then I don't care! I've keapt my mouth shut for years but NO MORE!!
hopefully they'll go back to the old storyline too.
