Nice story but as someone who dose MMA and judo I have also gone a few times to a boxing gym I don't believe it. Like were did you hide the knife there's only one spot you could of and I'm pretty sure you don't want a knife up there. Also no boxing gym would let you have fight with out gear on much less a street fight and no offense bro but western striking like boxing and kick boxing has everything on eastern striking like what you do bro but with the clinch game its the opposite

Erm, I think you kind of went over-board. Ducking and weaving is a big part of boxing so it's not a dirty trick. Was it really necessary to start beating him once you've knocked him out and is unable to defend himself? The guy was at a boxing gym, stop faulting him for following the rules of boxing. And you seemed to be very antagonistic. Sure the guy was being a bit of a prick, but it deosn't call for that kind of behaviour.

Anyway, maybe you should go to a dojo, or the equivelant. I'm not familiar with Kyokushin.
I think you miss something.

This story is almost certaintly a lie, and if any of it is true, it's been highly embellished.
I know it's most likely not true, but I wanted to point out that even if it was meant to make him look 'hard', it's come out making him look like a complete and utter asshole.

Have you seen the movie Undisputed 2: Last Man Standing? Your account reminded me of the first fight between the bad guy (various martial arts) and the good guy (boxing). The bad guy started the fight using only boxing rules and was getting his ass handed to him. So he came out of nowhere with a few kicks (including a couple of really badass ones) and soundly beats the good guy.

Your fight sounded similar, except you changed styles on account of dirty maneuvers, not because you were losing.

Dude you come across as a complete jackass in this story. Seriously. Look, you waltz into a boxing gym like you own the place start showing off and being generally big headed and then get challenged to a sparring match.
You spar one of the people at the club and then when you win you start pounding on him while he's unconcious. You pulled a KNIFE! A knife for christ sakes!
I know this is made up but at least add some realism into the whole thing. ; _; Or make the main character the least bit likeable. Oh and in my experience people at whatever place you go to for martial arts, including boxing. Everyone tends to be fairly relaxed, nice people..

yeah this is a bs story, this is cause when you box you use a mouthguard and in the several hundred mma, muay thai and kickboxing matches i've seen i've yet to see several teeth flying out due to knees and/or a kick, i've only ever seen one tooth come out during a fight

so yes this is complete and utter bs

Well if I have to criticise any thing then it's the direction of the story, it looks like it's leading some were but ends with that kind of my style versus your style story. The boxer is more like a stereotypical jock then a real boxer so I question accuracy, also the hammy dialogue only served to worsen the story.

all in all 3/10 Don't quit your day job.

Next story please?.

So, I decided to go to this boxing gym just to check the place out since I have extensive martial arts training, but never one that isolates as much as boxing. I used to think boxing wasn't so great, but I sparred a boxer some time ago and he was really tough. I started to think "How good would your punches get, if you just did the same five ones all the time?". So I decided to check the place out.

I go over to one of the heavy bags, and I'm keeping it at a constant 45 degree angle with combos of punches and kicks. I get the attention of a few guys watching me, and they're pretty entertained. One dude tells me that I might look flashy, but he bets I can't bring it to the ring.

I stop hitting the bag, and I walk up to him face to face. He said this to one of his friends, and didn't think I heard him.

Me: What was that? Have you got something to say to me?

Punk: I've actually got a lot to say, but I think actions speak louder than words. I've met tougher guys than you in my time in the Army, I aint afraid of you even if you can do Kung Fu kicks or whatever.

Me: First off it's not Kung Fu. It's Kyokushin. Second off, you aint nothing, punk. You don't want to get into a challenge with me, because you won't be the one walking away from it.

Punk: Lace up then.

So I did. We agreed to full contact rules. Only stopping at first blood, or a knockout. Old school rules. We laced up in these gloves, I really was not comfortable in them. I only ever do bare knuckle sparring, so that I can feel the impact with my fists.

Bell rings, I step up and he gives me a hard jab, I am unexpected and in a different stance because I am used to using footwork which accounts for leg kicks, clinches, and knees. After the jab he crosses me. He is hitting me in the head a bunch and I have to scramble back. My vision is warped, and I start patting myself in the head to regain my composure. Basically the whole first round went like that. just him pummeling the crap out of me.

Bell rings again, he tries to jab me but I slip the jab, I swing back but he starts bobbing and weaving. I am really not used to seeing this, people don't normally do this in a fight. I can't hit him, he's moving too fast. He punches me hard in the stomach, I drop to my knees and then he clocks me in the jaw, but I am still conscious. I get up from the ten count.

I can feel the rims of my vision getting dark and blurry. This chump is trying to knock me out. I am back on my feet and ready for him this time though. He rushes me and just as I give him a left hook he ducks again, bobbing and weaving. This time I show him the consequence of such a dirty trick. I grab him by the back of a neck hugging him into a clench and knee him hard in the face. I keep firing knees into his sternum, and then shove him hard against the ropes. He rebounds off of them and I time a high roundhouse perfectly sending my instep carreening directly into his jaw. Three teeth and a stream line of blood clatter across the canvas mat of the boxing ring shortly before he collapses like a building with no foundation. I fling both gloves off and mount him. I am pounding him on the face while he is unconscious when two of his friends drag me off of him. One of them tries to take a sucker punch on me but I elbow the dude in the eye and put him in a choke hold pulling my knife. With a hostage I safely made it out of the building and ditched him just as I got back to the car.

I don't think that I should train at this boxing gym anymore, I will have to find a new place to train.

You sound like a real jackass. It's a boxing gym, you agree to boxing rules, then you cheat and assault the guy? You could (and should) go to jail for that shit. Grow a sack and accept defeat you punk.

Entertaining story. True or not, I'm not sure. Reading the end with the knife made me tilt towards false. Anyway, the guy in the story, if he's real or not, he made a very nice comeback. He did well, except for the knife of course.

Haha good joke.

*In the case that it wasn't a joke*

Seriously? Threatening someone with a knife is a kind of serious crime.

I wouldn't really go back there either. Nice job taking that jackass out man.

I believe we're discussing what you think about his situation.

I know right, I'm in there minding my own business and this guy wanted a fight, so he was given one. He just didn't know what he was messing with
