Anyone who is remotely interested in role playing games should pick this up. It's an amazing deal for a lot of the best RPG's ever made.

That said, I already have almost all of them, so I probably won't grab it myself. GoG has been a godsend for old school RPG lovers.

Its not something that I would ever consider buying but it does look like a good deal price wise. I have never heard of this The Temple of Elemental Evil game though.
Temple is my personal favorite of the bunch. It's basically a combat sim but it's a brilliant one. It's the best implementation of the rules into a video I think.

I'm curious if these versions of the game are optimized for new systems. That worries me. It's such a no brainer purchase if they are.

All we know is that they are listed as being for "Windows 7/Windows XP/Windows Vista." They certainly aren't expecting people to still have Windows 95, so I think its a safe guess that their ready for your current PC. :)

There's "compatible" and "optimised." The former doesn't always mean the latter.

It may still run like shit on a Win7 computer.

As someone who owns all of these games I can only say that if you're interested in RPGs at all, you absolutely need to get this box. Just be aware that you can kiss your life goodbye for a very long time. But seriously, this compliation is worth its price because of 'Planescape: Torment' alone.

Heh. Despite owning something like 75% of that bundle, I'm seriously considering buying it just because it's such a good deal and it doesn't hurt to have extra copies to loan out.

CD-Projekt in Poland had those games in multiple bundles over the years. Yeaah and GOG.

Sadly, Neverwinter Nights 2 wasn't worth even $20 at release... might be worth it + expansions now.

I APPROVE.

Although I can't really fathom why Temple of Elemental Evil is on there. That game is effing AWFUL. Weak and insipid dialogue, frustrating world layout, annoying interface, very little plot exposition (I'm still not entirely sure who built the Temple or why) and bugs upon glitches upon programming errors.

Still - one crap game out of eight? Torment alone is worth getting a crap game alongside (I got mine with Soulbringer, a game with some really interesting ideas let down by terrible execution.)
'Tis very much a bargain.

Are they including a patch that makes it possible to play Temple of Elemental Evil on a Windows 7 Computer?

Okay, wait. ToEE? "Best Isometric RPGs"?

You've got to be kidding. Temple of Elemental Evil is to D&D what "Wand of Gameleon" was to "Zelda."

I wish they sold it here in EU/NL.
Then i would totally buy the first pack.
I was wanting to buy the Baldur's Gate super awesome pack (1 and 2 with expansions and all)
But this is so much better!

At least, that is what I believe, I never played Temple of Elemental Evil or Planescape...

Ah, Atari noticed its success over at GoG and decided to get in on the action more directly. Nice bundle, but I'll stick with GoG.

Yeah, it's funny that Atari, whose only contribution to that bundle was temple of elemental evil, is releasing those great Black Isle games. I own all those games and temple is definitely the weakest link. My real complaint about the game is it's pathing system and piss poor implimentation of third edition rules lead to countless frustrating encounters where you are moved into and then out of combat ranges no matter how you set the cursor, and take countless attacks of opportunity. Wanna play 3rd edition right? Grab your copy of Icewind Dale 2. Great game with good story and combat that doesn't make you want to pull your hair out. Baldurs Gate 2 is 2nd edition, but I spent HUNDREDS of hours each playthrough on that game. Still one of my favorites.

Torment is one of my favorites as well, but it was an early Black Isle game and might seem REALLY slow since your main guy walks everywhere. A recent patch for the game fixes that, so you will definately wanna check it out. Any game where you can beat the last boss just by being really smart gets points in my book.
