Let's just hope that they learn their lesson - that there's no way a DN game could be made in this day and age in under twenty years. I look forward to the continued hijinx of the Duke in 2045 or so.

Am I the only person who doesn't know who Duke Nukem is? Sucks to be a youngin.
This.
But I do know this game is probably not going to be released anytime soon.

Only way DNB can be different from DNF is by it being RELEASED! Might need to scoot over to 2K Games and see if this has any backed up validity. Otherwise this is sounding like Apogee is studying from the Blago Book of Bull.

This is like a soap opera. This is better than a soap opera. I love reading these updates about this T2-3D Realms back and forth.

What I dont understand is why its taken Apogee so long... So what if thier counter-claim is legitimate, its taken them 20 million, and 12 years and they THINK they are gonna make money back by selling a DN game that no one cares about anymore.

If anything, I'd probably download the demo of DNF then forget about it and play a real game, with pigs and boobies... You know, the ones we can play, right now, like... at this very moment.

have you ever tried to build a level in that level building program that came with the original duke nukem 3d? if they're still using that (which i doubt) then i can see why it's taken them so long, lol

I used to have a problem with mirrors where they would seem to look into infinity, and if you touched them... ohh please don't touch the infinity mirror!

What's the difference between the games, we never even got to know the plot for DNF? Only difference I see is the name. Hopefully this will actually be released... And that the hot girl with the skirt will be featured.

Cool.

If it does come out, then I'll play it and it will probably be good. Not brilliant, not revolutionary. Just a fun, brainless shooter with the (hopefully) typical Duke humour. I don't think Duke Nukem's so hard to write for that another developer can't give it a decent bash. As long as they bring John St. John in for the voice.

The great Irony is, that its taken 12 years to develop, but Apogee has asked 2K to make the game 2 months after (or was it before) the DNF release. Its like a builder who cant finish renovating the Kitchen, but asks the wife to finish her cooking when hes done.

The only people who remember the old Duke are now too past it to be playing the new Duke. By the time it comes out at least.

Well that's interesting... Although I am very doubtful as to whether this would actually happen or not.

Unless you're a time traveler from the mid-nineties, nobody gives a crap about Duke Nukem anymore.
Seriously, THIS.

Good God, am I sick and tired of hearing about all things Duke Nukem. Nobody cares that a new Duke Nukem game MIGHT come out, and even IF it does, it most likely won't be as good as Halo 3, or Mass Effect, or any other 360 classic I can think of.

The only thing we can do now is ignore the hell out of the Duke Nukem franchise and hope it withers and dies.
