"Good Final Fantasy III?" "GOOD?!?!"

*explodes in a spectacular fashion*

OT: Eh, I might look into this when more details are released. As long as it doesn't go the route of Crystal Chronicles, then it should be fine.

Looks like it has potential, but I'll wait until more concrete info before I start looking forward to it.

Are they really using the number 4 in the game title? That's so completely unnecessary for a game like this, but I suppose if they want to go with that, it's their prerogative.

Does this make me want to get a DS even more than before? Yes. Yes it does.

I liked FFXIII, but not as much as the old ones. I'll probably get this, or at least make my brother get it since he's the one with the DS.

The art style does look a bit kid friendly but that doesn't mean it's bad. I like the charm of the Japanese take on the whole sword and sorcery thing, and have found myself disappointed that all the 3d main series titles take place in this weird future-past alternate reality zone (minus IX, XI, and the soon to be XIV but online doesn't count). Something to keep an eye on...

I am not sure how I feel about this. The game will have some customisation through the job system, which increases the game's replay value. However, since the main characters need to be generic for customisation to work to any great degree, all semblance of character development is preety much thrown out the window. Also, considering Final Fantasy's reliance on the "illusion of choice" (set in an open world where progress is strictly linear), the customisation aspect is bound to be somewhat undermined by that. It doesn't help that what we know of the story so far seems like a preety standard "damsel in distress" fare.

The original Final Fantasy wasn't a bad game, but I am not sure how well the concept will do in this day and age. But regardless of my negative thoughts, I am in the same boat as Alar:

It looks to me that what armor you put on changes how your charecter looks, that will be preety cool.
