I always love the pre-release speculations.
Whether it's trying to figure out what the butterflies mean in Skyrim, trying to figure out more about the FNV dlc from what copyrights Bethy took out, to just trying to come up with more information from pictures.
I loved the speculation for GTA IV, people didnt even know how the game played since there wasnt any actual gameplay videos before launch, people knew how it was going to look but they didnt knew how it was going to behave.
I'll be looking for people to tell me this was a LOT more fun than 4. This looks very pretty. But I want fun, and am hooked by Saints Row 3 which is just stupid fun, but not nearly as pretty as this. Give me the looks + the fun and we're talking.

Have you heard, do they want 5 to be ultra realistic (call your grocer missions)?
From what has been show I think it will be more similar to The Ballad of Gay Tony then the proper GTAIV, they have a harrier and that stuff wouldnt work that well with a heavy story. TBGT is more light hearted and the missions are more fun while still staying inside a realistic world (realistic in the way that its not as over the top).

Take a look

Glad to see bikes returning.
I know they were probably a very small distraction to most, but it was my favorite way to get around in SA bar none.

Yea, a lot of people have said that GTA is just going to be serious from now on and you'll have to get your fix of silly from SR. But really, why can't GTA have a bit of both. I don't think any GTA fan wants a dildo bat but some optional rampage missions and rc missions, and hell some pimp missions too. Why not, GTA has always done a good job of making those weird side things Optional...up until GTA 4 when they just got rid of it all...except the dating. Honestly they could get away with being serious if they did it well they just seem to be working off a formula here.
In fact here's a big spoiler for GTA V:
The main character you play is going to get killed off near the end and they're going to make it all overly dramatic. Then for the last couple of missions and the after-game free roam you will play whoever takes over the main character's duties.

San Andreas is one of my all time favorite games but I just can't get hyped up for GTA V at this point. Maybe it's because we haven't seen much or maybe it's because I'm tired of the new R* formula.

There's something really simple I love in Saints Row. I hit someone with a car, and they go spinning off into space. It is awesome. I do the same to someone in GTA4 and they thud to the ground. Loses a lot. Was San Andreas a more like GTA4 or SR3?

If you like that, you need to play San Andreas; there's nothing more satisfying than flying down the sidewalk of the Vegas Strip (or Venturas as they call it) in a muscle car sending loads of pedestrians flying in every direction. Hitting the guys on bicycles is also 10 kinds of hilarious.
I try and pretend I'm George Carlin:
San Andreas is essentially the game they were trying to re-create with Saints Row 2. Saints Row 3 got a little more absurd but the map got a little 2 dimensional. San Andreas has the huge map with lots of variations and a lot of weird little surprises.

1.I expect GTA5 to be more similar to GTA:SA
2.I am really hoping that one of next GTA games will be set in near future (similar to GTA2)

Car with a San Andreas plate. Clearly this means we will be able to travel to San Andreas, Vice City and a third, yet unnamed place, also we will be able to use jetpacks.

Seriously though, this looks sweet. Can't wait to play it.
Oh, really? So far, there's only evidence of Los Santos and Las Venturas.

Meh, nice screens but I'll wait and see, GTA-IV looked good too but that game was a huuuge letdown (though admittedly after Vice City and San Andreas pretty much anything short of the second coming was going to be a disappointment).

If the game has a better system for aiming while driving, preferably something similar to that of Red Dead, I'll buy it. If not, there are always other games. The alternative to a new aiming system would be for Rockstar to just stop creating missions in which I have to shoot out another car's tires (the hitbox for which is about three-by-nine pixels) while driving at high speed through traffic. It's just one of those things that makes me want to throw rotten fruit at game designers.
Better than the missions where you have to chase a motorbiker and running over him with a 3000 pound sports car doesn't even touch him, but rather causes you to drive OVER him, and get pushed out of his way.

Also, just because a jet fighter and bike was shown, doesn't mean they'll be playable, I think a lot of people are jumping the gun here. Could be scenery pieces.

I doubt that Rockstar would be that tricky. If the jet fighter is pilot-able (and the evidence so far is saying that it will be), then Rockstar, SHUT UP AND TAKE MY MONEY.

I'll have to see what systems it is for... I don't have it for Xbox anymore... long story but I didn't get to play it!

This is an odd thing to notice, but... why the colon in the article's title? It's written like "V" is the game's subtitle or something.

That's cool, but I wish they'd go back to the lol wtf days of Vice City and San Andreas.
