I doubt this will top San Andreas, which is definitely my favorite of the series, but I'm looking forward to it.

As long as it has a huge map, light-hearted tone, non-realistic driving and shooting (like SA), I'm happy. GTA4 was too gritty and realistic for my taste; Yahtzee explains better than I could.

Goddamn, will they just give us a release date, after 8-9 months on no info, my interest in this game is almost completely dead.
When it's done.

I always love the pre-release speculations.
Whether it's trying to figure out what the butterflies mean in Skyrim, trying to figure out more about the FNV dlc from what copyrights Bethy took out, to just trying to come up with more information from pictures.
I loved the speculation for GTA IV, people didnt even know how the game played since there wasnt any actual gameplay videos before launch, people knew how it was going to look but they didnt knew how it was going to behave.
I'll be looking for people to tell me this was a LOT more fun than 4. This looks very pretty. But I want fun, and am hooked by Saints Row 3 which is just stupid fun, but not nearly as pretty as this. Give me the looks + the fun and we're talking.

Have you heard, do they want 5 to be ultra realistic (call your grocer missions)?
Leapin lizards I agree with Gorfias on something. Saints Row FTW.

If we two can find common ground, why can't our politicians? D:

Maybe we should make them run through a Professor Genki-style gauntlet. XD

Now that I would love to see! Harry Reid running through a gauntlet! Good one!

Good grief. The industry would be dead by now if everyone had the same mindset as you.

OT: I don't see why people rave about how bodies fly into space when you hit them in Saints Row 2. Honestly, I found vehicular homicide much more satisfying in GTA 4. When you hit someone in GTA 4, it actually feels like their bones are being shattered from the inside while their squishy meat is being crushed against the front bumper of my car, and those that survive feebly get back on their feet, limping away.

Whereas in Saints Row 2, their bodies just make a weak thump noise and sometimes they just get back up like nothing happened.

I really like the new split these genres took.

You've got Saints Row for those that liked San Andreas and GTA 4 and now hopefully 5 are taking a more gritty and /realistic/ road.

I like it.

Meh. The driving in GTA4 sucked, and if that's the direction they're going to take GTA, I'm not interested.

No, don't give me that "More Realistic" bullshit. I have Gran Turismo for realism. GTA was originally fun not because of the satirical-comical setting, but because the car chases and back-alley dodges were fun.
