So you blame us for the actions of people who have been dead for years and even centuries, you complain that we generalise about americans and yet you portray us arrogant and selfless, americans themselves aren't much better, you engaged in persecution and virtual slavery until the 60s, you destroyed an entire races culture even after you kicked us out and by the way who was it that sold arms to the people both our countries are now trying to fight? Not having personal weapons is something most of us are glad about as aside from a small minority we dont have to worry about people breaking into our homes and shooting us, im not saying it doesnt happen but gun crime rates are still far lower than the u.s, also when these maniacs do try anything, our police both armed and unarmed (and for that matter our other emergency services) and our army are among the best in the world so we know that any situation that arises will be handled quickly and efficiently.
cctv has lowered crimes and caught many criminals who would otherwise get away with violent crimes if the government wants to watch me shopping, why do i have to worry unless i have something to hide? The stuff that guy wrote on facebook was horrible, draconian maybe, but not exactly the imprisonment of an innocent man.
Our government may not be perfect but yours is far from perfect either.
