I can't tell if this is angering me because he was put on the list because he opposed the oil industry, or laugh at the government's stupidity for doing it because he was explaining how fracking works.

EDIT: the whole damned problem with the country is our political parties.

If we weren't split into to groups all the damned time, maybe we could actually make some progress. If you aren't a Democrat or a Republican, nobody cares about you here. We should just abolish parties and have everybody run as a individual.

I would find it hilarious myself, except it probably puts him on the no-fly list, too. Hope that doesn't affect his working.

Good side of that is he doesn't have to worry about TSA agents getting all one-on-one with him.

You know things like this have been happening since 1776. Look at the 1950's. And, god, do you Europeans project. Seriously, you guys need to get that Anti-Americanism checked by a shrink or something.
For real.

edit: The watch list does not take any rights away. It means government agency's may or may not be interested in you. They dont throw you into a black van, they dont beat you up, they dont tap your phones. All they can do is look at public records as someone who has the ability to cause problems.

do any of you know how much all of these siutations you claim are making us a fascist state ans stealing our rights, and brainwashing has actually affected me? NONE at all. My life has not changed at all.

This is all coming from the country where civilians cant have personal weapons for defense, no way to defend themselves against their own government, and CCTV cameras on every street, people getting 4 years in prison for talking shit on facebook.. and WE'RE the sheep? they don't even realize how fucked they are if something goes down.

It's typical of them though, English mostly. Their "empire" is responsible for more death throughout history than any other non-ancient empire, yet they always like to think they are so superior.

Ireland
Scotland
India
China
Africa
South America
Colonial America
Argentina
to name a few?
Oh how silly of me, I forgot I inherited my ancestors sins. You also sound like a racist bastard about how the english seem to think they are better.
And the things is we dont need guns like you guys, do. yes we are screwed if shit goes down, but you see our government isnt china, secondly your fucked aswell unless you can take out tanks and helicopters. and if we are on about guns, hey enjoy them, I quite like going to school without haing some insane kid start shooting people, but hey if you want everyone to hae guns good for you, it works out well in places like africa and america, because giving out killing tools to eryone will have no negatie effects at all... You live with your paranoia and constant gun crime, I will live here where I am not paranoid and people arent shooting eachother all the time.
Vermont has a lower crime rate than Britain. Actually, many, many states have a lower crime rate than Britain. The states and areas of the United States that have a high crime rate are the ones that refuse to let their citizens carry guns, such as California. British cities such as Gloucester and Limerick consistently have the highest crime rates in Europe. In the European Union, countries such as Britain and Luxembourg consistently have the highest crime rates, Countries such as Switzerland and Finland consistently have the lowest crime rates. The countries in the European Union that let people carry guns consistently have lower crime rates, countries that don't let their citizens carry guns consistently have higher crime rates.

The states that let people carry guns consistently have lower crime rates, the ones that don't consistently have higher. I think you need to be more open minded. And automatically assuming that American conservatives are wrong isn't really open minded. Not that I advocate automatically assuming liberals are wrong either, as they tend to be correct on many things.

To all Americans here...

Do you realise that your entire corrupt and fascist power structure is making the rest of the world HATE you. :/

YOU have become the world's demons.. not communism, socialism or even the so called 'terrorist' threat.

You have to start doing something.
We overthrew an evil dictator in Iraq and gave freedom to an enslaved people. We were hated for it. China's government censors it's internet, North Korea is still a hell hole, and the Taliban are literally executing homosexuals and mutilating women for leaving abusive husbands.

We voted for Barack Obama, chose socialist healthcare, and you still talk like this?

I think you need to accept that you are a bigot.

Moreover, at this point both conservatives and liberals hate Homeland Security, as they tend to be opposed to civilian gun ownership as well as speaking out against large corporations.
What on Earth are you talking about? The Iraq war wasn't about "freedom" until WMDs and Saddamn Hussein went missing.

What do you mean, "socialist healthcare"? What's socialist about regulating the private insurance market? Do you know what socialism is?
A) The war was called Operation Iraqi Freedom at the very beggining. The claims of WMD's were obviously false, but it was called Iraqi Freedom at the very beggining.

B) Socialism is hypothetically ownership by the people, and this attempt at ownership by the general populace is generally perpetuated by government ownership of the industry. Contrary to popular belief, outright ownership by the government is not necessary for a system to be Socialist.
A. It doesn't matter what it was called, it could have been called Operation Babies and Puppies but the war wouldn't have been about babies and puppies.

B. The issue is that there is no popular ownership of the insurance companies. Regulation is not, by any means, socialist. Regulating the insurance companies is unpopular with laissez-faire conservatives who throw around accusations of socialism at everything they don't like, which is likely where the confusion came from. Socialism would be if the government shut down the insurance companies, not if the government imposes some basic, common-sense regulation.

Cute.

Pray-tell, what is that "something" we should do then?
If you are going to complain, then I suggest you present an alternative.

So either present an alternative, or stop posting troll-bait.
I'll be waiting.

HAH, that will teach you to have "unpopular" beliefs! Who does he think he is? Clearly another Un-American agent provocateur. Once he returns he will receive his "just" reward from our "friendly" good ol boys over at homeland security. /sarcasm off

Socialism would be if the government shut down the insurance companies, not if the government imposes some basic, common-sense regulation.
A) You are assuming it was about WMD's/Oil rather than bringing freedom to an oppressed people because you like to leap to the worst possible conclusions. Given a choice between believing we wanted to overthrow an evil dictator and bring freedom to an enslaved people, and believing we were paranoid and stupid, you choose the second, despite the name of the operation itself.

B) Technically, the insurance companies are popularly owned. They are publicly traded companies with millions of stockholders. They are quite literally owned by the people. But I will agree that regulation is necessary, and that it is not necessarily socialist, and that many corporate leaders are selfish and irrational in their dislike for regulation. Far too many corporations break the law and get away with it, there should be more enforcement of the laws, as it stands corporations commit theft by yanking away pensions, and yet they don't go to criminal court for it. Far too much of what corporations do doesn't go to criminal court.

Yes...Fire Mark Ruffalo and get Ed Norton back. That's what's important here.

BRING BACK ED NORTON! Seriously. Marvel movies often brag about their continuity but they have some of the most horrible continuity I've seen from any franchise.

On Ruffalo's being considered a genuine threat, the San Francisco Chronicle quotes him as regarding the whole thing as "pretty f**kin' funny."

Well at least he has a good sense of humor, but why does this sound so familiar?

Wait.. English is a race now?
And you realize you just went on a tirade about how much better england is than the U.S, comparing us to Africa.. so didn't you prove my point? thanks for being my proof, ol' chap.

And besides, you have a better chance of being stabbed in England than shot in America.
No they are not, but hey if you want to avoid that part fine by me.

Yes I did, because you somehow think the US is superior, heres a thing, the US is not #1, freedoms suck, dont need to explain that. Education isnt as good as other countries, neither is healthcare, lifestyle, anything. If you werebetter fine tell us how to live, but your not.

You were calling us sheep for cctv, not having guns, you think your system is better, congrats you look down on us, dont try and make me look the bad guy here (see looking down on us), we are both pretty much the same in this. And your saying I proved your point, you have shown yourself a hypocrite looking down on the english.

You can outrun a guy with a knife, see about outruning bullets, I know who my money is on.
I never said I wasn't talking down to the English though, that's the difference. You proved my point in thinking you are superior when you are not. I never said America was superior, I just said why England isn't either. The thing that I don't like is this posh sense of "America is a hell hole and we British are far superior" You all claim you don't act like that, then in the same sentence continue to bash other people and countries.

And how do you take the fact im a racist bastard from saying the English have a invalid feeling of Superiority? How at all does that imply me being racist? Racist is the belief one RACE is superior to another. What i said has zero to do with race, seeing as both countries have many different races living in them.

Yep you caught me. I was the ONLY PERSON who put him on the list, and it was because of how much I hate people who question anything we do. It totally wasn't a clerical error, or some overzealous person. You are right. America is worse than Mexico's drug cartels, Africa's warfare and AIDS, Irans...everything, North Korea's rathole of a country, China's destruction of free rights, or even France's days of rioting because of the retirement age. America is one of the worst countries and the straw that broke the camel's back was when I put an actor's name on a POTENTIAL no fly list.

Sorry everyone, it was totally me. Totally calling it.

On a serious note, that's pretty stupid. But didn't England put some conservative radio host as banned from entering their country because of his views?

It's things like this that make me glad I don't live in America... Say what you will about Israel (and there's a LOT to say), they at least know about terrorists. :p

Of course! No one would suspect him!

OT: Well now this is silly. But i guess you are a terrorist if you talk back to the big corporations.
