Gundam is one of Japan's longest-running anime franchises following the airing of Mobile Suit Gundam in 1979. It's spawned countless sequels and spinoffs, the most popular of which are Gundam SEED, Gundam 00, and Gundam Wing. I've never understood the massive love for Wing, myself. The others are so much better.

Well, okay, maybe not SEED Destiny.

I liked Destiny, but yeah it wasnt as good as SEED. SEED imo is the best of the gundams.

Oh c'mon. Seed Destiny wasn't THAT bad. Certainly not amazing by Gundam standards but once the focus shifted off of that whiny ***** Shinn I'd say it got better, while still not being better than Seed of course. Besides it's superior to quite a bit of anime out there wouldn't you say?

At any rate this is awesome. I hope to see a life size Zaku II Char Custom standing right next to it one day.

destiny did pick up half-way through when Kira became the main focus again.

Wing is quite iconic wouldn't you say? It's one of my personal favourites.
Anyway, who needs nukes when you can get creative like the Japanese?

Iconic in the West maybe since it was the first brought over here. But it's eh.

SEED, 00, and most of the UC ones are just so much better. :/ I've always thought Wing had a dull story and dull characters, not counting the OZ ones.

Oh it was incredibly dull, Endless Waltz will actually cure insomnia. But I watched it when I was 8 or so when it fascinated me, and it had it's moments i.e. the raiding of the moon base and all those crazy space battles between Tallgeese/WingGundam/Epyon. Also it spawned one hell of a SNES game.

Haro is awesome Wing is worse for NOT having Haro.

This is the truth, Haro is a necessary part of the Gundam franchise. Just try and tell me the Lockon/Haro combo in 00 wasn't completely awesome.

Also Wing was ok, but definitely not the best in the Gundam franchise.
