Hybrid Theory and Meteora were great albums. Minutes to Midnight sucked, and I liked New Divide. This, however, no.
ive got to say, while i like their older stuff a lot more. MtM was average, since they lost a lot of what made them unique, and sounded like a plain old rock band. With The Catalyst, i liked it, wasnt amazing but it sounded different. But i have to say if it sounds like this for the rest of the album, then I wont buy the album. Because i know ill get sick of hearing that kind of music style the whole time.
I think you misunderstand. There is nothing intellgent about civility, nor being incredibly patronising to anyone who shows an ounce of personality. BIG DEAL they changed their sound do you want them to be like Metallica and sound the same on every CD they release.
I loved hybrid theory and meteora, and mtm has grown on me considerably, however this style of music doesn't really suit linkin park, I think they should just go back to the band we all fell in love with.

Because in my opinion Metallica is one of the most overrated bands. They are just not my cup of tea so to say and all fans of them are spouting off that they are the best thing since sliced bread. I am yet to talk to a fan of Metallica that does not have this mentality about them.rt052192 said:

FINAL NOTE: This is about Linkin Park's new single so I have no idea why I decided to bring up a defense for Nickelback on here but that is as far as the argument of Nickelback or Metallica goes as far as I am concerned.

Well that just wouldn't be true. I love Metallica and they're unbelievable, that is pre-Black Album, but to say they're the best just isn't true. Music taste is all based off of personal preference. I will have to check out the music before the Black Album. The only songs I have heard are the ones constantly played on the radio. I think its more the guys voice than anything because I have an acoustic version of one of their songs covered by Rev Theory and I can actually listen to that and like the song.
