New people?

I keep seeing the topics on the right side of the screen and decided I like the people and the community too much NOT to join. I'm not much of a big forum guy, but I really like this one. Also, it freaks me out how much Sarctastic and I have in common....

I joined yesterday. I've always been a fan of Zero Punctuation, but I never visited the Escapist forums. Then I discovered that this is one of only a few gaming sites that aren't blocked at my office, so I decided to sign up.

Having said that, everyone seems very friendly, so it's not as though I'm posting here because I don't have any other choice! Nice to meet you all.

So hi! I signed up barely minutes ago, been hanging around on the site for a while, recently looked at the forums and am amazed by the maturity of the members here, and the way everything is conducted.

I have been lurking for a long while, I got introduced to ZP last year some time then I started looking at the forums etc. I generally don't join things like this, I usually just lurk, but I figured I would see what this place is like.

Prolly forum games. I had 56 posts in my first day, but I was sick, in pain, and miserable. But that was before the forum game thing.

Ditto. I was watching the Haze ZP. (One of my friends sent it to me with only an LOL to back it up, so I needed to watch.) Either way, a few day later one of the forum topics intrigued me and so I created a profile to reply and never left. Side note: I joined on the Fourth of July, if I were an American I might think that iconic in some way.

Why? As people tell friends, they end up recruiting unwillingly... those friends tell their friends and soon enough there are a tide of 2 digit posters around my feet.

Ok, i never judge by post count the merit of a user, Hell, ive been here longer than 5000 post monsters, and by longer i mean way longer.

It does make the gaming section a little hectic. But i'm sure my beloved Off-Topic will stay relatively calm forever.

I think you may have misunderstood (or I am misunderstanding you.) What I meant was that if I were American I could go "yeah I joined on Independence Day that's pretty awesome." I'd have to have joined on Canada Day to get a similar sort of thing. I missed Canada day by 3 days. *Insert sad face.*

I'm depressed now because "Evil Raven665" joined 2 days ago and already has more posts, more badges and is a more accepted member the boards than I am. -sigh-

Also, you guys are just filling the void for another forum I quit. But I, of course, originally came to the site because of Zero Punctuation.
