New people?

People join because The Escapist forums are where it be at! OR more likey because when hitting F5 while waiting for the new ZP, they spot a topic of interest. I dunno, I have noticed alot of newcomers to the board of late.

Because the only way we will ever gauge your worth is through post count and stickers.

The techies have beaten you to it there I dare say. Apparently there is a nice message waiting for all new users with hugs, kisses and helpful information enclosed. I didn't get any hugs and kisses tough. Perhaps I am just too awesome for it, yeah lets go with that.

I have been noticing new threads getting quickly washed away by a load of necros lately, whether it has to do with the new sign up or not I don't know, but it is sad to see new topics overrun by old ones that have had their time.

Why is it that the new ones accumulate posts so much faster than we did? It makes me feel like I'm old or something, but at least I'll get the landmark achievement sooner then they can... I won't be left in the dust yet.

I joined the forums after seeing that it was a community of relatively smart and witty people, as well as reading some of the articles they have on the home page.

So yeah. Also, even though I haven't done this yet, I planned on possibly hooking up with some of the friends I make on here on X-Box Live.

I'm all for something like that, I wish we could show off our psn tag like our live tag.

I have introduced pretty much all of my friends and acquaintances to Zero Punctuation recently (and every single one of them loved it) and a few of them probably have signed up for the forums so I'm doing my part getting the word out and expanding the community.

I do have a very low post count for how long I've been a member on reflection of some of the above posts. Oh well quality not quantity as they say.
