New Pokemon Game

There have been two new pokemon from the next generation confimed by www.serebii.net [http://serebii.net/index2.shtml]. these new pokemon represent the first ones in the next generation and will appear in the next movie. the game is going to be on the DS (hurray for not being a DSi excusive), but not much else is known.

I'm happy that this is coming out for the DS and not the DSi, as stated above, or for whatever new handheld Nintendo is developing. I've been a fan of pokemon since the beginning and while the older games are classics, I like the newest generation the best because of the Global Trade Station and WiFi. I'm hoping that there will be online matchmaking in this new generation, since there's always been something new, and being able to battle others at any time would be what the series needs besides a real-time action entry. Seeing what Gamefreak brings to the series each generation is what keeps me coming back, and besides the RSE, I'v always felt that they have significantly improved the game.

the new pokemon is a "evil fox" pokemon and even has an orange and black color scheme just in case you forgot about annoying ninjas. I'm excited about this and John Funk is going to have to suffer through catching another hundred pokemon.

The thing is, if it gets to a point whre there's 2000, then it'll make the game a hell of a lot better because people won't be TRYING to catch them all but they'll grab what's best to their tastes, customize them with items and elixers and a few new mechanics that can be thrown in, and voila, a pokemon game that doesn't suck ass and made for two things 1. MOney 2. Money.

The battle system that is. Not the pokemon. They get dumber each time.

But the battle system is so good in the 4th gen, that I can't go back to R/B/Y ever again. First gen is now the worst gen, imo.

Say what you will about the designs of the Pokemon themselves, the games had steadily improved since the first. And the original Pokemon was great.

I'd say that Pokemon is the best jRPG series in terms of consistent, high quality. I eagerly await the new installments, and the US release of HGSS.

but its the second most useful HM Slave of all time! Next to Lionne (sp?), which was Zigzagoon's evolved for in R/S/E. Lionno also had the advantage of Pick Up, so it'd find items as you went around. And learns a ton of HMs, too.

I disagree. Did you really expect there wouldn't be a new generation coming out? I don't know where, but I heard somewhere that they intend to make a total of 7 generations. Seeing as how we're only at the 4th right now, with the fifth still coming out, I suggest we brace ourselves for 3 more 'Bidoof' pokemon.

not sure about Hm's, but I always remembered Rattata as the Pokemon you could teach bubblebeam, thunder, and flash.
