I've been a lover of Rainbow Six for a long time. I feel like the game is what a shooter should be, it's not too fast paced, but it's not too slow to make gameplay boring.

I've been looking around on the internet and haven't heard any news of Ubisoft making a new one. Also, Rainbow is about a 3ish year old game and people still play it online, which makes me think that it has a strong fan base and is still popular.

Would you like to see a new Rainbow Six game?

Edit: Somehow, the shitty computer I am on decided to throw this thread into the Off-topic section. I hope a mod could migrate this.

I would very much like another rainbow six game. My only problem it that its hard to get online games now because so few people play it.

Ok, sorry, I always post in the correct place, this is really annoying to me. Could a mod please move this when you get the chance?

Depends, if you get on at about 4pm eastern time, I usually find a few games on it.

I guess as a hypothetical it can be on the Off-Topic forum, but now we're discussing semantics.

I guess a new Rainbow Six would be impressive, with all the engine updates since the last game's release.

Still, I was a little put off at how the first game (N64) did little to follow the original novel with exception to the last few levels.

Clark's first real fight is a small scale version of the "Mile-High Club" level at the end of Modern Warfare, but strictly with hand to hand combat, using boiling hot coffee and tea to incapacitate two terrorists.

Ah, the good ol days.

I live in the UK so playing with american gamers causes extreme lag for me most of the time. And 4pm eastern time is something like 11 am gmt at which time i am usually at college or asleep ;_;

No.

Well, to put it another way, I would like to see another good Rainbow Six game, but I'm not convinced Ubi have what it takes. They've been dumbing the series down ever since Raven Shield. Lockdown was pathetic, Vegas was only marginally better than Lockdown and Vegas 2 was basically just Vegas again. The Rainbow 6 series used to be THE most influential tactical shooters on the market (it's the place where the expanding reticule originally comes from), but thanks to Ubi ripping the tactical element out and trying to appeal to the run-and-gun crowd they've changed the series from market leader to also-ran.

If another development house got hold of the R6 franchise (unlikely), or if Ubi ever decided to be a good game-making company (also unlikely), yes, then I would love to see a new R6 game. Not until then though.

Since when did the franchise only start with Rainbow Six: Vegas? Could just be me but I'm pretty sure the original came out for PC ion 1998.

OT: Yes! That's all that needs to be said.

Loved the book...but as to a new game i miss the old days of planning an assault from the beginning members of your team, what skill sets and kits that they will use.

I love Rainbow Six Vegas 2!
It's so fething fun, and makes so little sense sometimes!
I'd love to buy and play a new one, with even more armour and weapon choices!
It's so good because you can customise so much! :D

I never played a huge amount of Rainbow Six: Vegas 2, All I remember about it is that you could have a sniper scope on a shotgun. Yes, I would like a new one.

I miss rainbow six three. Me and a friend used to play that via LAN all the time, man.

Of course, Vegas 2 was also very fun. Especially putting the gigantic x6 scope on the pathetic little SMGs like the mac10 and TMP in the game.

I would love another Rainbow 6 game... if they would turn back to the "old school" Rainbow 6 type of gameplay (Rainbow six raven shield and earlier games). But that will probably never happen...

I'd like to see them go back to their roots, where you were an actual team rather than the three operatives that the Vegas games had. While Vegas 1 & 2 were great, it didn't feel like they were really going through tactically, rather they seemed to go more towards the Halo idea of a few taking on the many.

edit: oh and bring back the true multiple entries. The game just felt to linear. I know they still had the multiple entrances to one room, but it lacked the fun of having a number of ways to get to the target.
