I dislike it because it contains English. Rammestein + English = bad. I preferred their German!
They always speak the country that they're playing in's language when ever they play there live...

Ha, ha, ha!
Good ol' Rammstein!
Does everyone else not see that this is supposed to be funny?

It is supposed to be a song about pornographic videos making women into sexual objects, I think.

Exactly my feelings. There's too much English in this, it just doesn't sound right at all.
Plus the lyrics seem far too simple. I'd expect a Rammstein song about sex to be incredibly warped somehow, not this.

Such a shame that a good band has to resort to this. That song was horrid and the video was unessisarrily pornographic; it wont get shown on T.V because of the video, and wont get aired on the radio because of the lyrics. That was just a death-wish for them, I and I'm sure many other people have lost all respect for them.
That they stooped to that level? Singing about getting laid is something reserved for rappers, and we all know how most people view modern rap.
Why would ppl lose respect for this?
First of all, its mostly mainstream rappers that "rap" about getting laid, 2nd this is rammstein, and thier philosophy is to over do it, so its a song about getting laid, and the video, is well, porn, ye whats the problem?
First off, I don't know how you did it, but you switched our posts.

Second, I have no problem with the video in and of itself XD

It's just the deviation from classic Rammstein (but not the "philosophy" of Rammstein) that troubles me.

It's music; people will interpret it into several different things, but that doesn't mean any of them are more correct than the other.

I looked up a censored version on Youtube for my own sanity. Wikipedia claims it's ridiculously pornographic.

It's a rather silly song, isn't it? Pretty good, though, except for the chorus, which doesn't quite gel, even if it is incredibly quotable.

I don't listen to Rammstein myself, though I certainly agree with this. Didn't they have a song about eating their mother? And now this. Once you get over the fact that they've included porn, it's not exactly a shocking video. It's just "Wow, porn, never seen THAT before[/sarcasm]". Instrumental's alright, Lyrics could certainly do with being in german. I'm sorry to say this, but that video actually makes me consider DragonForce to have decent videos. They have cliched CGI backdrops, guitar hero bridges and a ridiculous amount of artificial wind, but, well, at least it's more variety than porn, so you can almost, ALMOST, argue it to have symbolism and artistic value. This on the other hand, is porn. Straight pair, non fetish, common cliche porn. For another band, that may be huge, but with Rammstein, you'd expect some kinda OTT dungeon furry excess to make Slannesh blush.

Seems like they're trying too hard to be controversial, rather than writing great songs. Shame really.

Honestly, I think western culture needs more music and art like this; art in general should challenge the boundaries, while not going to stupid and truly offensive extremes in the process.

Realistically, Rammstein is being honest: sex sells, and I'd buy it for a dollar.

Yeah, because no other musical genre ever makes songs about sex, EVER...

For asexual prudes like myself, sex kind of ruins art and turns it into something less. Nothing ever made will ever appeal to everyone, as everyone has different tastes and desires.

I feel that if Rammstein doesn't make you say "WTF" at least once per album, thet're not doing their job. This video may not go to the absolute depths of mind-fuckery (like the Mein Teil video) but it's enough to offend sensabilities and generate some buzz/controversy for the band and the new album.

*sigh* I guess my point went way over your head.

When you think of music that sings about blatant sexual imagery in that much detail, what do you think of, J-pop?
